I am just curious as to what the max. dollar amount is that the NELRP will repay. I understand the 60% for 2 yr. committment and another 25% for third yr. but what is the max. dollar amount? I have looked at the website and I have found nothing about it except the percentage. Other places I have looked have stated up to $15,000 and up to $30,000. Are these two different programs? I also do not understand they have a TON of applicants but I am really curious about the program (private tuition is doing a number on me). Any info. would be greatly appreciated!!!
I received this award for this year. I got one payment and its now NOV 3rd and i still have yet to receive my payment this month. The number they gave me and the number on the website now no longer works. Is anyone else having this problem or have a number that works for the NELRP? PLEASE HELPPPPP!!!!

I have only received 1 deposit also which was Aug 30. I have a feeling I am going to have to pay my loans this month because I have not heard other wise. There is a number on the acceptance letter we got, but I don't have it with me at the moment. This is getting so frustrating. Let me know if you hear anything.
Hey guys, I talked to a HRSA rep today and I'm not sure how helpful this info is considering we have called before and have been told numerous different things!!! But, anyways the gentleman said we should get a deposit every month around the 15th each time so it will always be in the middle of the month. He said the deposit we got in Sept was an early deposit for the month of Oct. So hope that helps and I hope we see that deposit on the 15th!!! Katlin
Ok so.....it's now the 17th......anyone heard anything? I'm thrilled I got this award but this is rediculous trying to figure out when we're going to get our monthly payments....if any at all? If anyone finds out anything please keep posting for the rest of us. It's sad we have to rely on strangers for answers because we can't get legitimate answers from the government.
I am starting my third year with the NELRP---Just wanted to offer a little advice. Would be a good idea to put money away to pay your minimum payment for a month or two (or pay your loans ahead---especially when your payments from the NELRP start---you can contact your student loan companies and ask them to apply pay ahead status to your loan). There are gliches here and there in the program. Sometimes the payment doesnt' show up when you expect it (it is normally anywhere between october and January when new people are starting the program) Each year there are computer gliches and such things that put things behind. They always make up the difference--but my recommendation to you so you don't get behind on your payments is to either put some money away, or get your loan company to have your payments pay your account ahead. Will save you a lot of stress in the long run. Organization isn't this program's strong suit. But hey, it's free money!
