Needle-free injection technology

Opinions, please....would like to hear from those who have either given or received a needle-free injection.

When I enlisted in the US Air Force, I received my numerous mandatory immunizations this way....can you say OUCH????!!!!! they TEAR THRU THE SKIN TO INJECT YOU in a way that is different than a standard shot given by a skilled professional HUMAN.......no way to get a shot if you ask me. And if you flinch, look out. Unless the technology has changed, I say, no thanks, as a patient who got hurt w/those stupid things.

I once had an immunization at work (flu vaccine, I think) via the "needle-free" route. It hurt. A lot! I was apparently not the only one who felt that way because the hospital never, to my knowledge offered it again.

Not necessarily NRW350 - I have never heard of this particular tool, but generally needleless systems are primarily for preventing staff exposures to disease through accidental needle sticks.

Yeah, the impression I got from the CDC website is to prevent needlestick injuries (and exposure to various nasty bloodborne things). So much for the comfort of the patient! I also caught one manufacturer trying to market it as an alternative for diabetics. Thanks for the opinions.
