Does anyone know of any websites and or books that can assist me in practicing and answering delegations, leaderships and priority questions?
I have heard that there are alot of this type of questions on boards. I have the saunders CD which does not contain many questions. I just really want to know it.
Thanks

When answering priroity ?s always pick the person that can possibly turn for the worst if a nurse does not intervene. On the NCLEX u will be able to limit it down to 2 pateints then really think it through. Sometime u will get people that are just having expected symptoms of their illness and u can always limit those patients out of the answer. This has always helped me. As for delegation the best way is to know a LPN or Cna scope of practice Knowing this will help u determine if they can perform a task or not. I did not get very many delegation however most of my test was priorty and infection control like who would u put in a room with a certain bacteria or so forth. Good Luck

Get the Book titled: Prioritization, Delegation and Assignment by Linda A. Lacharity. It costs $24.95 in Barnes and Noble. Its a soft cover book. I also would totally suggest for you to review the infection control in Saunders 3rd ed. Make sure you review if you need a mask, if private room, gloves or gown. Its essential you know this like the palm of your hands as you will very likely get some of these.
Good Luck to you. Let us know how you did.

hi there. For me, i would have to say kaplan (they have the most outstanding, confusing questions!!!very good to get your brain working!!whahaha) But once you start answering questions and get the hang of it, you start to understand how to answer questions correctly. In prioritization (critical thinking is really used...ABC's, maslow, go back to basics i think) delegation and leadership on the other hand, you gotta know what are the specific tasks for differrent personal, start memorizing it (saunders has a good list of it, the book i have entitled "strategies for success for the NCLEX-RN examination is a good book to browse and get tips, not really a comprehensive thiing, but has good keypoints, like that of specific tasks of CNA, RN, NA...etc.. it's just a suggestion) I hope this would help.
