  1. When answering priroity ?s always pick the person that can possibly turn for the worst if a nurse does not intervene. On the NCLEX u will be able to limit it down to 2 pateints then really think it through. Sometime u will get people that are just having expected symptoms of their illness and u can always limit those patients out of the answer. This has always helped me. As for delegation the best way is to know a LPN or Cna scope of practice Knowing this will help u determine if they can perform a task or not. I did not get very many delegation however most of my test was priorty and infection control like who would u put in a room with a certain bacteria or so forth. Good Luck
  2. As long as u keep doing questions like 100 a night or more and really understand priority, infection control and delegation u will do fine. Most meds i got were common and i had hardly any content questions like u take while in school. I passed with 75 questions. Dont freak out because u cant remeber everything. Good Luck
  3. I had some lab values but all were basic like WBC, platlet counts, ect.. I did not have any ABGs or anything i have never heard of and I was a LPN 7 years prior so just know the basic ones
  4. Yes I passed I found out 48 hours later, I am located in WV
  5. What the girls and I did in my class was all buy different NCLEX books and we would trade the CDs that came with them and download them on our computers so that way we had all different ones but we didnt have to spend tons of money. We ended up with like saunders, Lippincotts 7th and 8th, Kaplan and others it was a good idea I thought.
  6. Thats sounds good Kaplan ? are harder then the NCLEX at least I thought so I was using Kaplan and ranged anywhere between 88% to 60%, I was like making 80% consistantly in the lippincott 8th edition. I practiced questions every day for months prior I onlyhad 75? and passed I found out today. I thought it would be alot harder but I guess all the studying really helped me Good Luck I think you will be fine.
  7. What I did was about 60 to 90 questionsa day 2 weeks prior to testing from Lippincotts and Kaplan CD, I would recommend going to a Nclex reveiw class I would try to take it as soon as possible but not until you consistantly get 75% or so when taking questions from books and CDs I passed mine first time with 75? this week I also practiced about 50 ? a night for about 3 months Good Luck:wink2:
  8. I found out at 8 pm tonight that I passed!!! I had 75?s with about 15 or more SATA. I am sooooooo glad it is over. To all up coming NCLEX takers one piece of advice DONT FREAK OUT its not as bad as it seems.. GOOD LUCK TO ALL:yeah:
  9. Most people that I work with got theirs with in like 2 or 3 days some even say the very next day but according to person vue WV RN is not quick results just the WV PN. I hate this wait!!!!!!!
  10. I graduated April 30th and got my ATT around May 8th or so. Actually we finshined on April the 12 and the school gives you like 2 weeks before they reveiw transcripts and send them to the board so i actually had to wait over a month or so from the day i had my last class.
  11. I took the NCLEX in WV yesterday 8am How long does the average person have to wait for results?
  12. GOD IS GOOD!!!!!!!!!
  13. well thats good to hear, I have been a LPN for 7 years so i know scope of practice, so at least i have that going for me. What about labs values is there alot of those? Thanks
  14. I was wondering if u got alot of nutrition ?s I hate those, I am taking NCLEX in am and just sitting here try to think about what to study:banghead:
  15. I am going Monday the 19th:bugeyes: I have been practicing for like 6 months now and i still feel unprepared. I took the LPN NCLEX 7 years ago and passed 1st try i hope this one goes the same way. GOOD LUCK to all of us:nuke:
