Is there anyway you can get your shift switched? Nursing classes really are not flexible (well, at least mine isn't) and you should talk to your employer about it. It is hard to go to school full time, especially nursing school, and work full time but people do it everyday. I wish I didn't leave my job when I started school. I cannot seem to find another one now.

Why did you apply to nursing school and prepare for nursing school if you already have a decent job? Maybe if you can provide a little more detail, you will get more advice. I love my nursing career and I'll always have a
job that pays decent money. It sounds as though this job of yours is fairly new to you. Are you sure you have security with this job? It's always nice to have a plan b.

i understand exactly what you're saying... i have a stable, but inflexible, fulltime 8-4 job making good money, and there are no evening/weekend programs close to me, so i'll have to choose whether to go back to school or stay where i'm at, especially with the economy right now...

What we think about our nursing jobs is irrelevant. You need to decide for yourself if you will like nursing. Get a job as a Nurse's Aid first to see if you like it before you go to school...
From what I read of the OP, she's been accepted into nursing school.
It seems to me if she's been accepted, surely she has prepared and
done all the prereqs, unless it's one of those LPN schools that no
prereqs are required.
I have to agree with you. She must decide for herself.
