hey there,
This is how i studied and doing my revision as i am appearing NCLEX-RN soon.
1) Print out all the video lectures from the online review that are listed in PDF
2)Then i divide those lectures according to my time like 2 lectures a day and was unable to handle more than two(because i got exhausted after listening to those lecture)
3)After i finish to fill out all the lectures then master the content like reviewing it without listening to lectures.Just studied on my own.
4)Did 2 lectures a day(after each lecture did priotization, delegation questions)from Mosby's priotization and delegation book(i did not feel like doing from saunders because the questions were too straight forward like that of content which i don't think NCLEX will be)
5)After i finish doing that then repeated each lectures(video) along with filled PDF lectures
6)As Marlene focuses that 5th day material are the study tools so studied each topic with each PDF lecture
Hope this wil help :)
By the way i am also from Nepal
After going through the whole program..Hurst did really help me for the Nclex. But for the best part was the Mock Nclex Test that is on the video and you it has 125pages you can print out. I felt just doing the test along with them (I broke this down in 3days)..really helped me when I actually did the Nclex..their voices were in my head if that makes any since.
I just took the NCLEX this past friday and past with 75 ques. taking the Hurst Review. The mock nclex questions should be done after you watched the videos and covered all the content required. You go over the 82 "4th day questions" with Marlene (instructor) then after you go over right/wrong answer w/ the rationales then start the mock nclex under "Q review" tab. Yep and your right you have 6 attempts of 125 ques each and the rationales really stick with ya. Best of luck and make time to complete the videos!!
I did the Hurst online review and printed out each subject area. I think it was a total of 15 areas and all the 5th day materials. I completed 4 of the 6 Q review tests that they offer. I did 2000+ NCLEX questions from other NCLEX CD's that I have. I did the LaCharity book which was so worth it. I also completed the Kaplan strategies book but I don't know if it really helped because I didn't use their strategies while answering questions I went more with knowledge. Good Luck!!

hi how did u do the infection detail. its so much on 5th day material. did u print that one too.
gold2010
hey there,
i only print out from the gowning, gloving and study all the detail after that.
after reading all the droplet, airborne and standard precautions i also try to
learn in which case to close the door and to leave it open because as in one thread
somebody mentioned the options were like that and the hurst 5th day infection
control have all the detail of that under each topic.do not forget to revise that one.
and for which disease come under what i use the mnemonic that was posted in one
thread.so better check the link below that i provided.i got almost all questions right
which the 5th day material under infection control asked.in 5th day questions under
infection control there is some questions about standard precaution so i made my
own formula for standard precaution.
t-tetorifice
b-bacterial meningitis
l-lyme disease
c-candiasis
h-hiv
if u have any questions then feel free to ask meh
gud luck :-)
