I am scheduled to take the CPNE September 2008, any tips, welcomed. I'm confused, I've heard memorize the entire study guide, memorize the critical elements, don't memorize anything. Also what is the average age of the students, I am a grandmother, and have lived more than half of a century.
welcome to allnurses...you need this forum. if you don't memorize the critical elements you will fail fail fail fail fail.....look around and read the cpne threads. you will find good stuff like where to get the cpne critical element flashcards and robs cpne video.....let me know if i can help. we also have a great friend sue who is doing her cpne as i type this and at the end of her first day she posted her experince. i am hoping she does the same today so watch out for that. it is a great way to learn. i also recommend a cpne workshop.....

I have a short guide with an example grid and the method I used to develop my own mnemonics (I highly recommend that you come up with your own). You can find it by following the link below or in my signature. Hope it helps.
