Need cheap scrubs and a lab coat

Hi all,

I am going broke buying supplies and text. I am hoping someone can direct me to where I can get some real cheap scrubs and a lab coat. I don't care if they are used. My school sells Landau's tops and bottoms for around $17 each, plus the lab coat for $26 each. School patch is $4 each, $2 to sew on. So this is really adding up. I starting my first semester at OSU-OKC's program and we wear teal color scrubs. I really need a white lab coat, and I can't see myself spending that much on one, there is still so many books to buy. Thanks in advance.

Wherever you go DO NOT go to the uniform shop....major rip off even with thier so called discounts....

there is a place on 23rd st in okc between rockwell and mcarthur? i think, called NARMADA they only sell cherokee scrubs but they are just as good as landau the owner is a nurse too.. let me give you an example: the uniform shop, got 4 sets of my fav style landou for 200 bucks, went to narmada a year later got the same style same quality material bought 8 sets cost me 180. check them out you will be pleased... i used to go to the one by midwest city MORTON OUTFITTERS you can see them from I40 and narmada even beats them

oh btw tell them Scott sent you i bought the 8 pairs and a cardiology soft touch from them they will remember me

btw you can find stethoscopes cheaper on the web.... i regretted buying the scope from them but i was given the money as a b-day gift could of save 75 bucks ordering online and they even inscribed it for free, the stores do not inscribe they tell you to send it in to the manufacturer, total hassle.

well hope this helps.:twocents:

Ambitiouz,

I bought my lab coat at Walmart for only $15. They also carry scrub tops and bottoms for about $12. I went to LA Moda at Penn Square Mall (theres one at Crossroads mall too)... I spent $22 each for top and bottom but it was because I chose the reallllly soft material. But they have name brand scrubs like Dickies for $12 each as well. I bought my stethoscope from allheart.com just FYI. So teal, huh? Thats what I have to look forward too? Haha

Oh thanks for the tip! I was actually thinking about going to the uniform shop but I looked on their website first and their prices are about the same or more than the school bookstore. ... I will definitely check out Narmada's and mention you. I never heard of them but they sound very reasonable. They dont have the be landau brand but I have heard good things about the cherokee brand. RIght now I got cheapie sprague stethoscope, I hope that'll work for the first semester. Thanks so much!

Oh yeah I forget to check Walmart, I'll give them a look as well. I like Dickies scrubs but I don't know if they'll have a problem with a different style of scrubs, they are more form fitting. Lol, I wasn't too thrilled about the color teal at first, but I am actually starting like the color. There are worse colors like white or tan. I used to wear royal blue and I liked the color but i looked like a smurf:chuckle.

Hey, Ambitizous.

I can't reply to your PM about school because I don't have 15 posts.

Just didn't want you to think I was ignoring you. I'll try to rack up 15 quickly but until then you can email me and I'll be happy to answer all your first semester questions.

Sorry i dont have 15 post so i can send you a private message. I still have it tho pm me a way to get a hold of you!

Look online, too.

This place is really cheap:

When you're in a uniform store, look for the "unisex" scrubs. They're typically generic and cost around $9.99 per piece. They're not the best fit for all body types, but they get the job done (especially under a labcoat!).

OK, here goes, gonna show my true colors now... lol

check the salvation army... lol

no really, when someone gets out of nursing school they are totally sick of those teal scrubs.... I found 3 pair with the patches already on them!!

Of course that's in the ardmore area but it's worth a try in your area.

Hey! I resemble that! :nono: (guess who's the lucky girl who got fitted for her tan scrubs last week    )

You might also check out Bombay on 23rd and MacArthur. I was just in there last night and they seem to have a big selection with good prices.
