I wanted to share with you all a new blog by a Pediatrician that I stumbled on to today. I read through several of his articles. They seem spot on. They are written in plain English. Which would make it so useful when relating or sharing with parents. Here is the web address- Chad Hayes, MD | demystifying pediatrics
Just FYI- He has some a couple of blogs on Essential Oils and indicates that he is going to do a 3rd one in the near future. There are many other very useful items.
Happy Happy New Year!!
Did someone mention gummy bears?
It's because the sweetener is Sorbitol.
I like to recommend sugar-free hard candies PRN for my Hospice patients who are still up and about and can handle it, especially if they don't like to swallow liquid laxatives or pills, and they're just a bit "backed up". Works like a charm.
My geeky self enjoys several shows on Science channel - one of which is "Outrageous Acts of Science" where clips from the Internet are shown and various scientists (astrophysicists, biologists, chemists, etcetera) explain what is going on in the clip, the science behind them, and why a lot of the clips are not a good idea to recreate.
They showed a clip of a guy chowing down one of those 5lb bags of sugarless gummy bears and Oh my deers! His pain and suffering were almost palpable but also hysterical. I'll try to find a link if I can.

Oh please do, we have a nurse family, this will be popcorn movie material.
These reviews...seriously people. You have got to go read them. I was going to copy and paste one, but it wouldn't let me. For a good belly laugh, check it out. But, make sure it is a safe time. You know what I am talking about---noseynellieteacher isn't near and wanting to know what is making you roll in the floor laughing!!This is some of that really cool stuff that we like to read that was mentioned on the Dr. Chad thread yesterday. Just not quiiiiiiiite as educational.
Unless, there is an epidemic of Constipation.
I read this at work some time ago, I was laughing so hard I thought I would pass out from trying to keep quiet. I then shared it with the "Kool Kids" ( my 2 BFFs) at work and we all were hysterical ! I've never laughed so hard in my life😅😅
I'd love to see that!
