Need advice with my NMC

Published

Hi guys. So here's the thing...I've gone through processing my NMC and I've sent all the documents that was asked for and now I'm just waiting for my decision letter. But my worry is this, I only got 2168 hours of clinical practice, a few hours short from the required minimum of 2300 hours. What are the chances that I would qualify for the ONP, and what are the chances that I would be rejected? The agency I'm working with told me to just submit the requirements, but I still can't help but be worried because I don't know anyone that I can ask who actually had the same dilemma but was still able to get qualified for the program. Please help.

it has come to my attention that my colleague (who is already in the UK) and i had the same referee but hers didn't have any problem just like mine and besides she processed her nmc ahead of me so they must have noted that we used the same person twice already. =(

Why would you think they would recognise reference when they have hundreds of applications which will have many different references

It's LBC.

I dont know what to believe with my nmc application anymore. At first, they told me to send links to prove that my referee is employed at our instituion and so I did. Last Monday, I received an email from the NMC international Registrations that my application is being reassessed and i should receive the decision letter within 7-10 working days. I called a while ago to follow up if the NMC accepted the links and they told me that it is not accepted and I need to provide my referee's certificate of employment. It's so stressful. Good thing I already accomplished the new reference form they sent and i just provided a new referee... :(

I use the services of the regular post office. So far, all my documents get there safe, around 2-3wks. If you're not in much of a hurry, it's ok to use the local post. Just put it under registered service so you can still track your parcel over the net. I spend not more than 200 per transaction as compared to 1000-2000 with other services. ?

Gosh, I know how you feel. When they asked for additional documents from me I was told through an email to wait for my DL but when my agency called them up, that's the time we were told to provide additional documents. :( I hope NMC can manage their processing better to not cause delays and distress.

What is more stressful from my experience is that they told me to send links to the international registration officer handling my application to prove that my referee really do exist. They also told me to provide explanation together with the link before sending it to them. I send it last Thursday (june 5). June 9, I received the email from the international registration that my application is being reassessed and I should receive the DL after 7-10 days. Then yesterday, the NMC told me I need more proof for my referee. That's the time I changed my referee. Good thing, I'm already done with it. I hope I will not encounter any problems with my new referee. NMC really does tests our PATIENCE..

Yeah. I've noticed that you have to confirm every information you get from NMC because what they tell you through email is not always what they tell you through phone. You're comfortably waiting for you DL because you received email that it's already on process and then put of the blue when you call them to confirm you find out you're actually lacking documents. Tsk. It's always better to call them, although pricey and time-consuming, still it's safer.

Hi guys, just discovered this forum and I just registered. I am also awaiting September '14 deployment. I was told by CTN, Sept 18 because classes start on the 22nd. I am also applied to CTN via IPAMS. I already had my dl since last November '13. I can share my experiences just let me know. I am also going to Addenbrookes Hospital. I am in Manila.

If possible try not to use regular post office. NMC at times also misplace your documents, and with DHL, Fedex, UPS, they have online confirmation with the receiver's signature which happened to me. SO when NMC told me they did not receive my documents, I emailed them an attachment that they received it with their signature, so they looked for it and found it there in their office.
