Need advice with my NMC

World Registration

Hi guys. So here's the thing...I've gone through processing my NMC and I've sent all the documents that was asked for and now I'm just waiting for my decision letter. But my worry is this, I only got 2168 hours of clinical practice, a few hours short from the required minimum of 2300 hours. What are the chances that I would qualify for the ONP, and what are the chances that I would be rejected? The agency I'm working with told me to just submit the requirements, but I still can't help but be worried because I don't know anyone that I can ask who actually had the same dilemma but was still able to get qualified for the program. Please help.

Thank you guys for the suggestions. The agent from CTN already told me that my NMC application is still in decision. Bassigpatricklouis, i think I might not be able to join the CTN's September batch since my NMC application is still in decision. =(

does anyone here who already received their decision letter?how long does it take?is it true that they can release it in six weeks in case there's no problem and all papers are in order?thanks

Hi cherrynba. I'm also still waiting for my decision letter. Hope we still catch the September batch though. I sent mine a month earlier that you but NMC required additional documents. Haaayy. God-willing pero sana we can get our decision soon.

i am hoping to catch the sept or nov batch of deployment in my agency..hopefully there will be no problem with my dl.

i was informed by a friend that ASC global recruitment can send nurses to UK even the DL is not yet available. it seems they will be in the UK already while NMC is processing the DL. If they can do it, can the other agencies do it also?

Hi che_rn! I also hope that we can still catch the September batch. Were you able to pass the additional documents already.? Did your agent from CTN already ask you about the location for your ONP.?

hi marvs! My friend is from the philippines as well and she's still here. I think she still processing her visa. I sent my NMC pack 2 last March 15, 2014 and it is still in decision. May I know from what agency are you? I think it is harder if you go to the UK without your DL because you can't start ONP without it. Even though you are there and while waiting for your DL, you will be needing more money because of the high cost of living in the UK.

She informed me about the hospital that will cater for this september, but from what I read, you were asked where you wanted to be located, right? I wasn't given the same option, though I've been hearing about that actually, about some applicants being asked where they wanted to be located, but I was only told what Hospital will be hosting an ONP this september. Which is fine by me, a job is a job is a job, right? Yep, I already sent the document they asked for. :)

From what I know and understand, it depends on the Hospital where you will be assigned if they are willing to risk taking you there without the assurance if you will be able to move on to continue with the ONP. Anyway, it's the hospitals who will be financing your ticket and also hiring you. Not all agencies can assure you of the same, not even ASC, because they only work in behalf of the Hospitals, and it's the hospitals that give the go signal. Not all the Hospitals share the same policy. Hope this helps. :)
