Need advice with my NMC

Published

Hi guys. So here's the thing...I've gone through processing my NMC and I've sent all the documents that was asked for and now I'm just waiting for my decision letter. But my worry is this, I only got 2168 hours of clinical practice, a few hours short from the required minimum of 2300 hours. What are the chances that I would qualify for the ONP, and what are the chances that I would be rejected? The agency I'm working with told me to just submit the requirements, but I still can't help but be worried because I don't know anyone that I can ask who actually had the same dilemma but was still able to get qualified for the program. Please help.

Thanks che! Do you have your decision letter already?

Hi! I saw that you are a CTN applicant too. Did you already sign up with them?

Hi, yes I did but I am still waiting for my dl before they will officially hire me.

We are on the same situation. Im also waiting for my decision letter. Is IPAMS your agency here in the phils? Did they already ask you to sign like a conditional offer? An agent from CTN already ask me to choose a location for my assignment.

Yes, I'm from Ipams too and I guess my dl will be out on sept as I just sent my pack 2. How about you? When are u expecting your dl?

I think it will be out by june as I sent my pack 2 last march. Has any agent from CTN directly contacted you already? Do you know if IPAMS send nurses to UK per batch just like the other agencies here in the Philippines? I hope we are going to be on the same batch. :)

Yeah, I actually talked to Erin, one batch will be on sept and the other will be on march 2015. I guess you might be joining the sept batch since you might have ur dl this coming month.. Good luck and wish u all the best!

I hope you get your dl earlier than expected so that you will be joining september batch too..

Does anyone know how can i contact NMC faster? I called a while ago but i was 26th on the line so i put it down and called again, i was 24th. Guys pls. help me..thank you..

There is no other way I think. When I was in the Philippines I even have to wait for more than half an hour on hold. So what I usually do lately is to phone them every Friday morning at exactly 8am, London time. I was on queue position 2 (sometimes, I think I do not have to wait for I ring them a few seconds before 0800H) but in a matter of a few minutes I was able to connect to their agent.

Hi cherry, call nmc at around 5-6pm here in manila, that is not the busiest hours of the nmc.

Hi cherrynba, I am sorry for I guess the information that I gave you was a bit incomplete as I should've written the first sentence as "There is no other way but to catch them during their non-peak hours, say, during the opening hours at 0800H, that is around 1500H there in the Philippines." That's only based from my experience as I've been in touch with them for the past months, usually every Friday to follow things up with them. Hope this idea would help you as well. God bless.
