Need advice with my NMC

Published

Hi guys. So here's the thing...I've gone through processing my NMC and I've sent all the documents that was asked for and now I'm just waiting for my decision letter. But my worry is this, I only got 2168 hours of clinical practice, a few hours short from the required minimum of 2300 hours. What are the chances that I would qualify for the ONP, and what are the chances that I would be rejected? The agency I'm working with told me to just submit the requirements, but I still can't help but be worried because I don't know anyone that I can ask who actually had the same dilemma but was still able to get qualified for the program. Please help.

Thanks for sharing what you've gone through as well as the current status of your application with your employer. By the way, congratulations for finally receiving your cert of sponsorship! The email has not got in to my mailbox but it is fine, no worries. We're glad to have come across such a generous colleague like you.

That is so weird. I sent if a few more times and tried it by replying to your own message. Have Cherry try to forward them to you maybe hers will work. Anyhow, my employer and I filled out the visa app on the telephone today. I'll update you guys of my progress.

Hey Guys,

John here. I am also with CTN through IPAMS. I guess I will be with Winslix's batch for UK deployment this September.

Currently waiting for visa releasing here. If you have any questions about the NMC process or the like, feel free to message me.

Good luck and God bless us all.

Hello! Good day! I just passed the CTN job interview under Ipams. May i just ask what are the medical exams you went theough? Did you undergo ppd test? What is the indiartion in mm for it to be considered positive? Thank you!

Hi yvonnezzz04 :woot:

Congratulations for passing the interview! Well, the medical exams that you will have to go through will be more of the routine exams (PE, CBC, SE, UA, Xray, HbsAg, HepB titer, HIV, drug test, psychological exam, dental, PPD etc..). There will be a special chest Xray that will be done in a UK embassy accredited clilnic in Makati. IPAMS and CTN will walk you through the entire process so you need not to worry.

As for the PPD induration, in as long as the wheal is not that remarkable and if there are no noticeable reactions then you will be good to go.

Just do not hesitate to call or contact IPAMS or your CTN recruiter if you will have questions. They are morethan willing to be of help. Just also message us here, may be we could share pieces of helpful advice.

Congratulations again and goodluck!

Hi trisammie. May I know if you are also for CTN's September batch? In what hospital are you assigned (Addenbrooke's Hospital or East Surrey Hospital)?

Addenbrooke's Hospital ;)

HI trisammie,

Yup, I resigned from my hospital work. I haven't been in the clinical field since March of this year. By the way, I was assigned to Addenbrooke's.

Hi cherrynba,
