2nd battle with NCLEX

Today I took NCLEX for the 2nd time. Going into it, I had a better outlook and less anxiety so I was feeling better than the first time. And then, last night I got sick...sinus pressure in nose and head and throat that was swelling worse by the hour. I managed to get a prescription for some steriods at 5pm yesterday. Went to bed feeling like crap and worrying b/c there was no way to change my test date!! I wake up this morning feeling fantastic...no symptoms at all..RELIEF!! Get to the the testing site at 730 for an 800 a.m. appt only for our test to be delayed 3 HOURS due to not having a second proctor!! There were 11 of us waiting to test!! So if you had little anxiety it was definetly up by the time we did get to test!! I had 265 q's the first time was just wanted a little less this time...no luck, 265 again!! Not sure how to feel about it. Last time I had high anxiety going in and not that much coming out...this time, just the opposite, less going in and a lot coming out.

Just needed to vent!! Thanks! Good luck to all those that haven't taken it yet!!

Best of luck to you!!

Good luck to you!!

Thanks everyone!! I used LaCharity's Priority/Delegation/Assignment, Lippincott's NCLEX Alternate Format Questions book b/c I am terrible at SATA, and the Hurst Review book. I did all but 2 case studies in LaCharity, did the ENTIRE Lippincott book, and read Hurst cover to cover!! I also took notes off of the Random Facts thread on here..it's helped me remember little things!

I would like to say, don't get caught up in the number of q's you have or how many SATA you get b/c these are really no indicator of how you are doing. I took 265 the 1st time and failed, took 265 the 2nd time and passed!! And this time around I didn't have but about 10 SATA out of all 265!!

Good luck!!
