NCTC ADN Fall 2014

Published

I just wondering if there are others out there applying this May for the Fall 2014 class. I just found out I have everything to apply at NCTC but with a B in A&P I I only have 10 points and I'm not sure if I will make the cut. Anyone else?

Since the nctc website says not to ask, I thought it best not to ask directly. I will try Monday though

I think the website said not to call and find out if you are accepted, but as an accepted student I am sure it is fine to call and ask dates - that is certainly important. I have had to call a few times and ask questions, and they have always been helpful and polite!

Ok question on immunitrax. How long did it take for everything to be accepted after you uploaded the supporting documentation? I have uploaded all mine, got a message from them that I need to get another flu shot before 9/9 in order to stay compliant (I had mine 9/9/13, obviously but my doc didn't have them yet when I got my physical). So I know my records were received by my status still says awaiting documentation and says NO under the received documentation. I sent the copy of my physical, the immunization form completed & signed off by my doc, my insurance & CPR info. I did forget to send the copy of my CPR card until today but they wouldn't wait on everything I wouldn't think. That's everything right? It's starting to make me nervous.

I haven't had the flu shot yet since they aren't out. After I faxed everything in my file was approved quickly, within 2 business days I think.

Have you guys ordered your kits tomorrow is the last day to recieve them on time :)

I think my immunitrax updated pretty quick, but if you have an issue, you should be able to show the records in the office and let them know that you have sent them in and are waiting for them to be updated.

They just posted the syllabi for the classes this morning, so if you call the office, I'm sure they can tell you what days you need to be on campus if you are an online transition student.

jls0459, can the new students pull up the syllabi yet?

Which sleeve do we need to put our patches on? And I know nothing about sewing patches, do you take it to an alterations place for that??

An alterations place, seamstress or many times a dry cleaners shop can provide this service.

I dont think you will have access to Angel or Canvass until orientation since that is generally when they put the new students in. You've only got another week though! It won't be long.

Patches go on the left shoulder, two inches down from the seam. There is a place in Gainesville that will do them for cheap. They will give you that info at orientation. You won't need your whites for a few weeks, but you will need reds on the first day of class.

We're getting close guys!

My immunitrax just updated to matched, so hopefully it's on it's way now. Had to send in the lab work for my titers, which I didn't do originally because I thought the form signed off by my physician would work!

Can we wear tee shirts and/or long sleeve fitted tops under our scrubs? I freeze if it's below 80. I know we will probably go over this during orientation but I saw some shopping for the kids & wanted to pick them up on sale (if I can remember where they were).
