Hello all!
I wanted to know what are your takes on the NCSBN review? I failed NCLEX about 4 weeks ago and want to take it again as soon as I become eligible. I don't work so I have been dedicating 2-3 hours a days doing exam cram, saunders, and Lacharity's questions. But I have to be sure I'm ready this time. I contemplating buying the 3 week NCSBN review just to be sure. What do you think?

I used NCSBN and liked it. I would however say do not rush to resit and do not use too many resources

Did you do kaplan the first time? While I hated to shell out all that money for it, it was REALLY worth it. I had topics in the qbank that were on my exam that I never would have thought to study. I also had the 3 week NCSBN but hardly used it. I personally thought it was crap, but I know others liked it.
I can't afford Kaplan right now.... So I was hoping there were other alternatives out there that are just as good

I bought the 5 week NCSBN and havent really used it. I just cant stay into it and the questions seem really easy to me. I dunno. I really like the exam cram, lacharity, and saunders. I already paid for ATI the first time around so Im redoing that. Not sure if any of that helps.

I know you can't afford Kaplan but see if you can get a hold of their decision tree. I just started the course and will be sitting for my NCLEX for the second time in November. I have never felt confident about the NCLEX but after my class last night I had a whole new perpective on how to look at the questions using the decision tree! For once things made sense and I was able to eliminate the wrong answers! Best advice I got last night was do as many questions as possible...we'll see if it works! Good Luck!

i used the 3wk NCSBN for my second time around and thought it was a good resource. some of the review was boring and hard to get through, which i decided to skip a few sections, but the questions were good---some easy some hard, good variety and i felt like the questions were pretty comparable to the NCLEX. short and sweet and not super hard like Kaplan. overall with your resources i think youll get a good variety which helps for the nclex. best of luck!
