Just wanted to give everyone a heads up. I visited the site I will be testing for my NCLEX in the morning, wore shorts, shirt, and sandles. It was the frozen tundra in the office. BRRRRRrrrr. I plan on wearing t-shirt with jacket in hand, pants and shoes. The last thing one needs when testing is to be increasing the metabolic rate because of shivering. Yikes.Hope this helps someone.

Lisa,
Thanks for the heads-up!! I have a "good luck" outfit that I wore for all of my exams....lightweight sweats, t-shirt and sweatshirt...glad to hear that I won't be too hot. :chuckle
Good luck to you!!!
]You may want to inquire about jacket. One of my classmates that just took exam said that at our testing site-NO JACKETS ALLOWED! ]She was instructed to place it in locker! May be too late to be telling you this info. considering you are testing in the a.m.

]I did not imply that they were overly strict I just simply stated the fact that at our testing center you may not carry in a jacket......GEEZ!
Yeah, I heard it can be cold in the testing centers so I plan to dress in layers-I'll wear a shirt with a sweater over it. I also heard jackets are not allowed. they're not overly strict or anything.... Geez!

RN @34: I know you did not say they are overly strict at the testing center: I am saying I think they are :) (although I understand it is just to be sure no one cheats, etc.) I just finished reading all the rules at the testing center (you know, like no food or drink inside the room, must be photographed, audiotaped during the test, fingerprinted, your ID must match yout ATT exactly, etc. ) and cuz of all of that I read in the list of rules, that is why I think they're being a bit overly cautious! That is what I meant. don't worry-I wasn't speaking for you! :) I guess it is hard to try to sound sarcastic (I was trying to make myself sound sarcastic-not you)on the computer. Hope you know what I was trying to write now! :) I really like this nursing web site and would never try to make fun of someone else or be rude. So please don't think I was trying to make fun of you or anything-Have a happy day! :)

Took my exam last week, and they asked me to leave my cardigan sweater in the locker. They didn't have a problem with my watch. But, any extra clothing, like sweaters, jackets and such, they were asking folks to leave outside. The temperature of the testing room was fine.
And by the way. I passed!
]GOTCHA!! :)
