  1. Hey I know how you feel. The feeling of thinking you didn't know anything is perfectly normal! I had 83 questions and passed. My best friend had 165 and passed, and I had a friend with 216 that passed! I think this is the hardest part, waiting on your results but you will be fine. Keep yourself occupied until your results come back!! K Kay
  2. Keep on going the more the better. I did 5,000 before sitting and passed with 83 questions. Believe me a couple of the questions you have done you will see them again in one way or another on the NCLEX! I did. I used Delmar, Kaplan, Kaplan Trainer CD, NCLEX 3500, Lippincott, and Saunders. K Kay
  3. i did 300 questions a day and then comprehensive for one hour. See what I learned was that while answering the questions I was learning. My instructor called it immediate feedback. She told us not to do test that didn't give us the rational right after answering because you don't learn anything. If I was on the computer I chose to do review rather than a test. If I was in the book I would answer a question and look at the rationale! We were instructed to do 5,000 questions before sitting. It worked I passed the NCLEX on 6-21!!! K Kay
  4. I think everyone was tested on the same thing I took the NCLEX on the 16th and over half of this stuff was on my test. I actually had forgot until I read this. No wonder you passed you retain information very well!!!! I have a habit of suppressing traumatic events in my life. I guess the NCLEX was one of them!! K Kay, RN
  5. The Kaplan CD Trainer comes seperate I guess I got it from a friend! I think the latest NCLEX 3500 is great in regards to multiple multiple answers!! I had alot of practice due to that CD. I studied three hours a day. I did one hour of comprehensive and two hours of questions. In the end I did 5,000 questions before sittiong!! You'll be fine!!! K Kay
  6. I used the 2004-2005 Kaplan book.It is basically the same. I compared my book with my study partners 2005-2006. I used the exact same books as you did. I actually had similar questions from the Delmar on the NCLEX. NCLEX made incredibly easy was no help to me. NCLEX 3500 on the CD was great. If you have money to spend for the Kaplan course thats great but the book and Trainer CD helped me pass the boards!! I also did NCLEX questions off any website that I could find. K Kay, RN
  7. I was confused about that too but I was told that Assessment and Analysis should be high in order to do well on NCLEX!! I started low in those two areas but my overall score was always 68%. So I went back to the book and studied the Clinical Pathways more in depth and it really helped. sharpen my CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS. I just learned I passed the NCLEX !!
  8. ABC's, and Maslow got me through the boards. It is a very good technique to learn. I had 83 questions with priority and delegation. I used the process of elimination first then I would do Maslow to rule out psychosocial, then I would do ABC's if this didn't help I would next do safety. I did this on every single question. I learnes this process from Kaplan my best friend!! Delmar NCLEX review has some good questions in it. There are 8 test in the back of the book. It covers everything. When I sat for the boards there was not a topic I had not covered in Delmar!! My school recommended that we do 5,000 questions before sitting. I see why now you cover everything possible! Hope this helps someone K Kay, RN!!!!!!
  9. I just took the NCLEX on 6-16-05. I just learned that I passed!! I had 83 questions and I also studied Kaplan!! You will be just fine. Keeping yourself occupied until you get your results is the thing!! I almost went crazy waiting because N.C. doesn't participate in the early release either!!
  10. Well if you feel you aren't ready you did the right thing. I took the NCLEX yesterday and when I left I still felt like I was not prepared. I wish I had reschedualed!! Good Luck and make good use of the time you have left to study K Kay
  11. I took the NCLEX on Thursday. It cut off at 83. I thought I was prepared also but that test slapped me right in the face. I will not get my results until Tuesday at 12:30. What am I to do until then?? HELP!!! K Kay
  12. Hi I took the NCLEX yesterday and Kaplan does help but it is not useful on all questions! I found that out quick. I studied Kaplan, Lippincott, NCLEX 3500, Delmar, and basicaly anything I could get my hands on. I think I passed with 83 questions. All of these books helped me because I ended up doing 5,000 questions before the NCLEX. There was not one disease process on there that I hadn't seen before or had been asked about!! Kaplan helped me to eliminate the wrong answer mostly.
  13. There is no need to be nervous. I took the NCLEX yesterday. I made a decision not to be nervous and it helped me alot I think!!! The day before I did not study I went out t eat, watched a movie and went to bed early. Its the best thing I could have done. K Kay
  14. I sat for my boards today and had on capris and flip flops. Bad choice of clothing!! K Kay
  15. Oh yeah I studied Kaplan, Delmar, Lippincott, basically anything I could get my hands on to complete 5,000 questions before sitting for the NCLEX!
