  1. You have prepared better than most. Take your sweet time on the first 75 questions.(2 hours). It is imperative to score well early. A little (mild) anxiety is to your advantage and will keep you alert, but I believe that studying even a little bit on the day before NCLEX is a bad move. It creates unneccesary anxiety. Take your mind off the test and do something fun and relaxing. Walk into that test like you own it and when it gets to question 75, answer it, click "next" and watch the screen turn blue. You have passed! :balloons: Oh yeah, remember to breathe adequately during the test.
  2. Took the NCLEX in Arizona on the 24th and found out today via the phone lines that I passed. My advice to all who are about to take it is to read the questions carefully! Don't be distracted by clever little words in the answers that are meant to throw you off. Identify nursing concepts in the answers that do not pertain to the question. They may sound accurate but do not apply. Take your time and concentrate on scoring well early. I took 2 hours for the first 75 questions. Do not try to figure out if questions are getting easier or more difficult. Stay focused! To control anxiety I hung out by the pool where I stayed, got a good night sleep and ate a nutritious breakfast. I went into the test with a "bring it on" attitude and made sure I was breathing properly throughout the test. Remember to "work" through the answers. Don't be discouraged if the answer doesn't pop out at you. You have knowledge, use it. My test was a mix of everything. Know your labs and concentrate on the main meds. Safety is important! After the test do not try to look up everything, it will only make you crazy :uhoh21: Just stay cool knowing that you gave it your best and leave it in Gods hands. Now excuse me I have some celebrating to do! :rotfl: Many blessings to all!
  3. I take the nclex tomorrow 6-24. Please keep me in your prayers. I will keep you posted about the content and results. :)
  4. I will pray for you but just remember all those times through nursing school that the lord intervened and helped you get where you are today. He's not going to let you down now! He said, "I am with you always". Keep the faith, remain confident, breath and succeed. :)
  5. I have read about those who feel really prepared and didn"t do so well and those who hardly prepared and passed in 75. Is this test more about test taking strategies than it is content? I feel pretty good about the amount of effort I have put into this exam including a review class, Kaplan book and CD, Saunders book and CD, Meds publishing essentials. Now we are allowed 6 hours to take the test. I feel like I should spend the first two on the first 75 questions and go from there. Is more credit really given for the first 20-40 questions? When do you feel like you're adequately prepared? JUst a little nervous about this whole thing. :uhoh21:
