NCLEX- What to wear?

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

I realize this might sound silly... but I'm really wondering what I should wear when I take NCLEX on Saturday. I am always cold in office buildings. I can't concentrate if I'm too hot or cold. Will they allow me to wear a hoodie (without the hood on my head obviously) to test and take it off if I get warm?

Thanks! :-)

In one of my review books (can't remember if it's my ATI or Kaplan Strategies book) it does suggest that you dress in layers. With that being said, I'd think a hoodie would be fine! Good luck on your exam :-)

I took my on a Saturday I wore a thin long sleeve shirt and fleece pants (comfy), I brought a thin jacket but was told I couldn't wear and I had to put it in the locker. Also this lady had a hoodie pull over she had to take it off lucky she had a shirt underneath. But this is in Florida not sure if it matters.

Sounds ridiculous but I wore a sweater dress with leggings and nice boots. I also did my hair and makeup. I swear it gave me more confidence to walk in there and destroy all that is NCLEX. For what it's worth, I passed in 75 questions :)

I vote for an orange sparkly bikini and combat boots :)

I had to take my hoodie off, but that was several years ago.

I didn't find the office building to be too cold where I tested at. I was told I couldn't wear a jacket in the testing center as well, and I live in Florida.

I wore a comfy t-shirt that I regularly wore when I tested in nursing school. It was my lucky cat shirt! I also wore a comfy skirt and flip flops. BE COMFY!

I wonder why no one is taking my suggestion seriously? hmm....

I think the receptionist at the testing center would quit right then and there if they saw that walking in to test....:roflmao:

at least you know she's not hiding lab values on her arms......!
