I'm freaking out!!! I've already got the shakes and the upset stomach. I can't decide if I will do the PVT or wait the 48 hours to see the official result...I think I'll end up doing the PVT but it's an hour and a half drive back home & I'm going alone.... ahhh!!!!!!!
When I took the exit test in school it said I had a 68% chance of passing on the first try. I took the VATI predictor yesterday & it said I now have a 94% chance of passing on the first try but I felt like I didn't even know most of the right answers! (sounds like what people say about NCLEX). I have studied my little heart out... every day, for HOURS and HOURS, since graduation on May 19.
I am a terrible, terrible test taker and get severe anxiety. In addition, I ALWAYS change my answers and second guess myself.
I'm not much for prayer, but I started praying this week! And asking those close to me to pray for me, too. I'm trying very hard to just think positive and say, "I have prepared for this for a long time, you got this!" but... it's not really working
I know we're supposed to relax the day before NCLEX, but I'm going to go through the AN study guide because I recently discovered it and have not had the chance to look over it.
I've prepared by using Virtual ATI, a Kaplan workbook, and some Saunders (until I realized it seemed much too easy to be NCLEX level) and then yesterday I also discovered the link for the NCLEX 3500.
Anyway, I just had to vent and whine to those of you that know what I'm going through... no one else would understand.
Marlene is great. She helped alot. Even though alot of the things and systems and meds she lectured me on weren't on the test, i learned strategy from her, how to connect one pt situation to another and why they are related and stufff. I read the questions in her thick texas accent, it helped with her "duhhhh" attitiude. lol Good luck to you. Im sure you'll do well. I was a nervous wreck, and cried terribly on the inside after i took it, although i passed.its normal to be nervous. I am a terrible terrible terrible test taker, I doubted my answers through uni, always erased an answer i doubted to find out i was right in the first place. My advice to you is literally, take each question as its own, dont think about the previous question you just submitted, dont think about what kind of question you'll be getting next, just stay present with the ques you have in front of you. Good luck.
I just took mine today at 8AM. I had 75 questions. Did the PVT trick after it says delivery successful and I got the good pop up. I really am praying that I passed. I'm freaking out and did the PVT on my phone, my friend's phone, her laptop and mine. This will be longest two days of my life. I really am praying to see my name in NY BON. :)
