NCLEX Today - Stopped at 75

Published

Hi Everyone,

I'm new here! :-) I just took the NCLEX this morning, and the computer shut down after 75 questions. I'm scared to death!!! I feel like I guessed at most of the questions and I have the most awful feeling that I failed!! I'm sooooo sick to my stomach right now. What are the chances of passing at only 75 questions?? I wanted more questions to "redeem" myself! Help!! :-)

The statistic I heard when I took it 2 yrs ago was that 98% of people who took the minimum...passed....

I don't care how poorly or well you did, that test will make you feel like you failed. Keep your chin up, relax, whatever happened it is too late to worry now, you will just deal with it later.

I sure hope your are right! :-) And you are correct....too late to worry now. I'll deal with it later.....for now I'll concentrate on work and keep the alka seltzer handy! :-)

Congrats!!!!!! You passed.

Congrats!!!!!! You passed.

I sure hope you are right! :-) What makes you so confident that I did? I'm doubting myself left and right here! LOL!!!

Thanks for the encouragement. I needed that! :-)

I'm sure you passed also. I did alot of research on taking the NCLEX, because I WAS one of those students who always wants to know, how I did compared to everyone else, what was the average? etc.etc. Anyways, seems that, as another post has said, your chances that you passed are 98% or there abouts. Unless you bombed miserably, the NCLEX will go past 75 because you need more questions for the test to be able to be measured correctly statistically. If you met the standard quickly, the test will end around 75. If you bombed badly, there is no point of having more questions because statistically, you are not going to suddenly start doing really well. If you are stratteling (why can't I remember how to spell that word!!) the line, then you will get more questions to either put you over or under. Most people who take the NCLEX pass on the first try. I bet you passed! I hope this helps.

:balloons: :rotfl: You must be right Alongbella because I just found out that I passed!!!!!!!!!!!! Yippee!!!!!!!!!!! I can't believe it!!!!!!!!!! Thanks everyone for the well wishes and support!!!! This is a great group!!!!
