NCLEX 2 timer

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

Hi this will be my 2 time taking the Nclex. Took the nclex and failed at 75 question (I alway thought that 75 was the magic number but it's not:crying2::crying2:) I will be taking it at the end of Feb. I am going to need alot of prayer and support because even as I study I worry about the day that I have to take the exam and I don't want a repeat of what happen the 1st time. I've noticed that this form is very supportive and provides a lot of word to keep one encouraged. :nurse:

Thank you for the kind words. I truly believe that when I take my boards that I will be an rn there is no question about because I truly have faith. With the encouragement from the board members which also helps to.

well, I got my results on friday the 13th, the day before my bday, and my bday was ruined b/c of my 2nd failure. It's unfortunate that I went to 265 and failed, but my review course teacher, in Brooklyn- Dr. Bayliss..he assured me that it means I was anywhere from 1-5 ques away from passing. when I got the breakdown in the mail, I compared it to the first one, where it shut down at 75, and I went from below passing in 5 out of 9, to near passing in all. What helped me to get to "near" was the Saunders CD I believe, but I also can't expect to study 3 days a week with Saundersa and pass the boards. for the other question, I took them the first time Nov 23rd 2005, the 2nd Jan 11th, 2006. I paid again 3 days ago, I'm just waiting for my ATT, but I can't schedule a new test until after Feb 26th. So for the next month, It is my duty to hit the books and the cds seriously. I was so close. Third time's a charm they say though. We'll see. I do not want to fail anymore!!

I was one of the top in my class for goodness sake!

Hi,

I am truly inspired and incredibly grateful for this website. It has increased my confidence, intellect and motivation for wanting to become a nurse. It is a great place to come for comfort, prayer and the sharing of nursing knowledge. I look forward to the stories of inspiration when on this and amazed at how many people come back to share information on just about everything. I will continue to pray for everyone to pass the NCLEX test. With god's grace and mercy; we will pass.

Have a great weekend!

You sound just like me. I was 75 the first time then 254 the second time. I felt like I knew the stuff but was coming up short. I signed up to take it again as quick as I could. I myself didn't answer that many questions between the second and third time. Maybe 400 or so. What helped me was Maslow. I read the strategies and Maslow, in Suanders and Kaplan, a couple of days before and the night before the test. I had several questions related to Maslow's hierarcy of needs and I also focused on the nursing process (ADPIE) to help answer questions.

Good luck and you will pass!

I would not even schedule the exam until you feel that you are really ready. Giving yourself a timetable like that is not going to help you. You need a couple of weeks for yourself before you begin the process again.

HI

This is a superb website and thanks for including us in your prayer too YES we will pass the nclex-rn NURSES DONT QUIT :)

Hi Can you tell me where to find Suzanne4's tips - I seem to get lost trying to find it.

Thanks.

Could you please tell me what helped you - sometimes it is hard to get back to original posts.

Thanks a million. I am getting ready to take the test for the second time.

My third test is scheduled for March 16th. I am starting to get really nervous and I think my main problem is negative thinking. It's so hard to say, I will pass this time, I am a nurse, I did well blabla, when I failed 2x before. I keep telling myself that I did so well in school, how could I not pass now? I keep telling myself the rewards of being a nurse are everything better than what my life is now. The part-time med asst. job turned to full-time RN, the salary benefits, the actually having a full-time set-schedule, being able to finally treat pts and being in the hospital setting. Finally having enough $$ to get a house of my own or a nice new car...all these things should help me to think positive but all I keep saying is that i failed 2x before. I try to relax, deep breathe. I have never in my life been such a bad test taker or had such anxiety. I hate the way my life is going now and the one thing that can make it better for me is passing this test, and I just can't seem to pull myself together!! Any suggestions for positive thinking once you've failed?

The only advise I could give you is look at the questions, thinking about what you know related to the diseases, medications or situations. Take a deep breath. Relax. Nervousness is the least thing you need while taking the exam.

If you get stuck, just raise your hand to have a drink or even go potty. Don't just sit there getting more anxiuos.

And Good Luck!

hi shaycivic

the one only thing that i can say that will help you think postive, is knowing jesus and the love that he gives to us daily even when we are not doing what we are suppose to do.

this is the best way to be relaxed , he also helps with thinking positve try him and you will see.

jesus is the way the light and the key to everything seek him and he will do things for you that you can't even imagine.

jesus is lord

nclex 2/28/06 here i come.

shaycivic,
