Well, I took the NCLEX on Monday (10-20-14) & found out on 10-22-14 I am officially a RN.
To all the EC students out there, IT CAN BE DONE!!!!

Congratulations!!!! I'm very happy for you.
One question, why did you have a three month wait, did you have some gen eds to finish?

No I had all of my gen ed courses already. Here is my time line:
I passed CPNE July 20, 2014
Graduated September 19, 2014 ( this is pre-set by EC based on when you completed the CPNE)
NCLEX October 20, 2014
Hope this helps!!!
Thanks for the info. And congratulations. What did you think of the NCLEX?

^Agreed. Additionally, for some states like here in the state of Georgia, they would not even begin to process the NCLEX application until EC sent and the BON received official transcripts, which we all know is not one minute prior to that conferral date (2 months after you physically passed the last requirement). Then, again here in Georgia, the issue of preceptorship hours (or proof that you are exempt) takes up even more time because those 'Proof of Clinical Experience forms have to be completed to specification and sent to the BON in sealed, letterhead envelopes from your employer. And finally, there is the criminal background check that has to be done. During my time with the ASN program, from CPNE to NCLEX, I had to pay for 3 background checks, the third because it had been 60 days past the state check that was done for the CPNE.
I started gathering documents together as soon as I passed the CPNE, had to time that 3rd background check perfectly (based on my expected conferral date so that it would not expire before the BON received official transcripts), and it still took 2 months after conferral before I could sit for the NCLEX. I passed the CPNE on February 14, 2010, degree conferred on April 16, 2010, got my ATT letter in May 2010, and passed the NCLEX on June 16, 2010 (but the state waited to post my license number 8 days after that). Had I not started early, it probably would have been late summer/early fall when I tested because that time period was when all of the local nursing schools were graduating and scheduling testing dates (they had none of the hassles with applications as the online graduates had).
If if your state has additional requirements past graduation, I would suggest getting busy collecting documents as soon as you walk out of the CPNE.
It was very difficult & I was one of the unlucky ones that got ALL 265 questions!!!
