I took my nclex yesterday and it stopped at 85. I am pretty sure I didn't completely bomb it. I tried the PVT but my status still says not results available. I am going insane. Any suggestions? I am in Cali too so it takes forever to get results :dead: so frustrated. I also read that the trick doesn't work anymore.

You are correct, the trick no longer works, so don't stress about trying to do it. Sucks that some states don't do quick results, however I have seen on here that some BONs (including Cali) update licenses really quickly. Instead of trying to do a trick that is not going to work, try checking the BONs website several times a day. I have read Cali nurses who say that they get their license more quickly than the rest of us get quick results!

Caveat: Do not freak out if it doesn't show up right away--some people still wait a week a or two, I think it depends on how backlogged they are, but it is sure worth a try. Not sure if they update on weekends either. I've also read that if you call the BON after 3 or 4 days and request a new ATT and they refuse that is a good predictor 'trick'

Thank you, I've been terrified since Thursday that I failed because it didn't work. Your posts are very helpful in relieving some of the stress. Of course I'll be on pins and needles til I hear something, but I'll definitely post when I find out.

Everyone is frustrated with the wait. I almost wonder if they do that on purpose to teach us about true stress because we are going to need to deal with it at work! Other professions take boards and the results popup on the screen when they hit submit. NCLEX truly is a spirit killer!

The new trick doesn't work! There are people on here that paid the $200 and then found out they passed, there are others who got the popup and then found out they failed. It seems to be 50% accurate (if even that) and you risk paying a non-refundable $200 retake fee if you passed.

Oh wow I wish I found out about that. It can be a 50% chance then. I did the new PVT, got the good pop up and passed. I guess i am one of the lucky ones

Does anybody know how true it is that if you got a lot of SATA you did ok? I had quite a few of those a couple of prioritizing and only one math question and it was simple math

johnslvn, sadly it makes no difference. Some say that tons of SATA are a good sign because they are upper level questions, but I have known people to both pass and fail with a ton of them, and people who both pass and fail with only a few. All these rumors to help guess results are just rumor. I wish that there was a more comforting answer, but sadly there isn't!

My test stopped at 85 as well. I'm terrified to find out how I did. I got roughly like 15 satas, math, priority, diagrams, etc. I wish the best of luck to you and me! I'm also in Cali so I guess we'll see in a couple of weeks!

I thought I bombed mine too after 75, but I passed. If you know your stuff, did well on your ati tests, and prepped well you should be fine. Good luck!
