NCLEX was SOOO HARD. What do you think?

Hello everyone,

What did you think about the NCLEX? I took the NCLEX on Thursday. It was probably the worst day to take it because you basically get the results on Tuesday. So I was agonizing for 5 days. I think I lost a few pounds from not eating. I was at the point that I was obsessing almost every moment. The NCLEX was sooo hard. I took the Kaplan review but didn't find it to be too helpful during the test. Did anyone else take Kaplan? Did you think it was helpful? I recieved 75 questions. I thought that there was no way I passed. I couldn't sleep last night and got up to check if the Ca Nursing website had been updated. About 3 am this morning the website finally updated and I saw my name. I pinched myself a few times to see if I was dreaming. The only explanation I have is that it was an act of God that I passed. I thought the test was a poor way of testing nursing knowledge. I am not a fan of the CAT testing and I hope I never have to live another 5 days like this again.

Congrats to you, just great I'm started to feel a little depressed about Kaplan, because my friend just failed her NCLeX last week and she took Kaplan a week before me.

the truth is babo, everyone have a different experience - we may read the same material but end up with different interpretations; its sad that your friend failed but this has no reflection on how this will go for you so you just have to remind yourself of that; its an individual thing, i have realize that most of the people who pass said that the test was difficult, therefore, they pull out all stacks to answer, taking nothing forgranted. my encouragement for you is to do the same take nothing forgranted "kaplan or not, you are going in to pass" all the best. i'm testing on 09/12/08 and that is my determination. do share it with me:saint:

took it today, terribly hard, i felt i guessed everything. how the heck do you answer those questions???????? they were all so similar, and just horrible and hard. Please God let me pass...

You found out that you passed by looking it up. Do you suppose it would work for the PN as well? I also live in CA. where early results don't exist, I was just hoping.
