Yesterday I took the NCLEX. I started at 2pm and finished at 430pm. The test shut off at 95 questions and it ended with a SATA question that I know I got right. I felt all the color leave my face and I wanted to vomit right there in the middle of the testing center when that computer shut off! I went out to my car where I sat for 15 minutes wondering what the hell just happened and I ended up doing the Pearson Vue trick. I did it yesterday as soon as I left and I did it again this morning. Both times I got the "good" pop up where it told me that their records indicate I have recently scheduled an exam and another registration can't be made at this time. I don't know what to think... does the PVT works on the weekends? Is the SATA a higher end question?? Kind of freaking out but staying positive. I hate that we have to wait 48 hours to find out! :-/ Please let me know what you all have seen. Thanks!!

Try waiting 3 months and phoning in with a prescreen number- down on your knees hoping you pass for your OTS slot- for an answer.
It sounds like your experience matches those who have passed.
Good luck.
Thank you. I'm not trying to be "that person" but damn... why do they make us wait so long??? lol

Quality control. The exam is graded by the computer immediately. However, it then is scored a second time after 24 hours. 48 hours is nothing in the long run. Take a deep breath. Go do something you haven't had time to do while in school and studying.
Thanks Rose_Queen!

I think you'll be OK. Certainly, there's no point in worrying now. Just enjoy the weekend.
I took NCLEX in 2009. I had completed 75 questions when the test ended, and I was devastated! I just knew I had failed. I had tons of priority questions, one SATA, 2 questions on a drug I'd never heard of, etc. It was unlike anything I'd ever seen or done before. When the test ended, I practically BEGGED (in my head!) to keep taking questions. I wanted to prove I could do this. It all turned out OK since I passed, but I know what it's like to wonder what just happened...!
Much good luck and continued success to you!

1. Getting the last question right doesn't mean anything.
2. Getting a SATA question means nothing. Just a format type, means nothing more than getting a multiple choice question.
3. since doing the PVT isn't helping your anxiety, probably making it worse, stop doing it.
4. if your state has quick results option available, pay the $8 to find out after 48 hours. If not, nothing you can do anyway, so go watch a movie or play with the dog, go shopping or whatever you want to take your mind off this! Good luck :-)

It's actually pretty fast. Years ago you were made to wait a few weeks to find out the results.
six-8 weeks for results and the test was offered only twice a year. Testers would travel to venues large enough to hold them, stadiums even, for hours-long exams with paper and pencil.
48 hours doesn't seem so bad now does it lol!
I passed!!! Nerve racking for sure. Thanks for your comments.
