You are in the Phillipines so are looking at weeks before you get your results via snail mail, unfurtunately CA does not participate in quick results and won't publish your name on the website as you need SSN which you will not get until in the US with a valid work visa. Check out the thread on CA in the International forum, plenty of info there on what happens

Hi everybody! I'm a newbie! too bad I just found out about this website (allnurses.com) quite late. I took the NCLEX-RN on the 2nd of Oct. I did a self review since I just gave birth to my baby boy a couple of months ago , so I'm 24 hours hands-on in taking care of him. I started reviewing 2 weeks prior to the exam date, which in actuality only a week of real review and a day of a really serious one (hehehehe). I am not expecting to pass but at least I have an idea how it goes. My anxiety grew worst when the computer stopped at 75!!! waaahhhh!!!! When I came out of the testing room I have a strong feeling that I am really gonna pass... YEAH, PASS OUT that is!!! :lol2: but.. good thing I didn't. Right now, i'm just reading all the posts about the topic "computer shuttng down at 75" and it's not really giving me definite relief. It's like listening to a weather forecast that says " today there's a 50% possibility that it's gonna rain and 50% that is gonna be sunny" . I'm still praying that I will pass , although, I know the amount of time I reviewed before the exam will not compare to those who studied for months, and additional to that is .. some have just graduated from the nursing course, so all the lessons they learned from school are so fresh in their mind. I graduated from school in the year 2005 and passed the board exam in the Philippines, which I also did a 10 days of .. oh:idea:... actually that was only 8 days of extensive review before the exam date. I somehow like craming (hehehehe. hmnnn I just realize that now huh) When I cram I'm more pressured to study and comprehend what i'm reading (weird).:uhoh3: Anyways, the reason why I'm posting here now is .... to kill the waiting time!!! It's just taking so long :uhoh3: I wanna know the verdict as early as possible because there are 2 nursing job openings that's offered to me and all I needed is the License and the news that I passed and I can start training soon. Anyways... anyone who took their exam in San Diego last Oct. 2 and got their results... pls let me know. Thanks and God bless all of you here. I'm glad I haven't seen anyone fighting in this website about some topic. Everyone here seems to be nice and helpful. Thanks!

Do you actually have a SSN# that you submitted to the BRN when you applied for licensure? That will be the determining factor as to how fast that you get your results and how you get them.

Be aware that average wait time when you do have the SSN# is about ten days, not the two to three days that you see some post about. If you trained out of the state of CA, then you must have a complete file before you can get permission to test; for those that did their training in CA, the BRN will permit you to test before they have a completed file if your name is on the list submitted by your school. So if things are missing, it can take up to a month or so to get your results, and this is the reason that you see people posting about this.

And if a foreign nurse that does not have a SSN#, then it is 2 1/2 weeks before the BRN sends out the results, if the nurse is overseas, it is approximately one month until the results are received.

Best of luck to you on your results.:balloons:

;) Thank you so much for the info!!! I'll recommend this site to my classmates in the Philippines who are about to take the NCLEX. The good news is................................................ I PASSED!!!! not the PASS OUT that I said there earlier (hehehe) My friend who's a dialysis nurse in San Diego, also my classmate in the Philippines, called and woke me up at 3am today, Oct. 5, and congratulate me first. I thought he was joking because I told him " I sucked in the exam". he started reading to me the license number and I still can't believe him.. I said I better see this for my self. Well, I went to the computer and BOOM, there it is there! geesshh my pilo erecti muscles contracted and a sudden feeling of flush on my face, and an increase in pulse rate. haayyy!!! I tell you, I prayed 99% of the test questions because it seems to me that I can't understand what it was asking.... and it kept asking me hard questions after another. I had 2 dosage and calc, 2 TB questions, 4 DMs,4 multiple answer items, and mostly are Prioritization as a CHN somekindda questions and uurrgghh A whole bunch of Pharmacology questions about drugs that I have not heard of or at least I am not familiar with. oh and on the prioritization items....my goodness, the answers are like narrative and much longer than the questions! so there are some numbers I spent almost 5-8 minutes of reading plus debating in my head and plus the blank stare on those numbers, not knowing which of which to choose! Haaayyy!!... but now... i'm so glad I did this STRIKE ONE! I don't have to go through all this again and again. So to those who are still waiting for the result... keep praying!!!! if prayes can move mountain... so it can get you an RN license;). To those who are still gonna take the exam.... take it easy. sometimes.. the more you stuff your brain with so complicated reading materials and infos all at the same time, the more you get confused and your brain gets exhausted. I think what happened with me was 80% prayers, 10% luck, and 10% knowledge (heheheh). Anyways, I wish you all the luck and congratulations to those who passed their tests!!

suzzane4, thank you. I'm gonna recommend this website to my friends, I want them to be prepared too. Thanx again and God bless!

I took the NCLEX RN exam last nov 21, 2008 and up to now Dec 11, 2008 my name is still not on the BRN website. I have not received any mail yet too. Does it mean I failed? I'm a foreign graduate though I'm currently living here in Indiana, USA as an immigrant and I have a SSN # too. I cant think of any reason why my name isn't appearing on the web except that I failed.

Would suggest you contact them and make sure you have a complete file. Also check to see if they have sent mail notification out and that is has gone to the right address.
