I recently took the NCLEX-RN in CA and I wanted to know how many days went by before your results arrived in the mail? Was your name posted on the website and did you pass or fail? Thanks.

approximately 2 weeks (10-14 days) altho it may take up to 4 weeks or more depending on outstanding documents needed. you may check website within 3-5 days as there are people here who said that theyve found their names on the Ca BON within 3 days after the test. best of luck to yah...

It's completely random. Even if all of your school records are in, and people take the test on the same day at the same test center and they all passed, some people's results will show up on the website in two days while others will show up in ten days.
It really depends on which BRN staffer your file is assigned to and how fast or slow they are in processing your file.

that is good to know because I took my test this past Monday and looked today and did not see my name. I freaked out this morning thinking I definitely didn't pass. I thought it was all computerized and your name would automatically post to the CA BRN website in three days. Hopefully you are correct when you say a human does it and it could take a few extra days. I'll keep my fingers crossed!!!

Reading your comment makes me feel alot better. i took my nclex in california on thursday april 12th and it has been about 6 business days... still no results....i'm starting to freak out because most of my friends who passed the nclex recieved their results within 2-3 business days by checking online on the BRN's website...i also fear that i didnt pass because the computer shut off at around 200 questions and a majority of my friends who passed only had 75 test questions...also to make sure that there wasnt any delay in posting my results i called to verify with the BRN that all of my required documents are in, in which they are...i really hoped i passed but i just have a funny feeling tht i didnt because i walked out of the testing center feeling awful. i had lots of questions regarding priority and medications that i wasnt too sure about...despite studying a whole heck of a lot...well i guess i have to be patient, hope for the best, think positive, and hope tht the person handling my case is just a little slow...thanks everyone for sharing their personal experience in waiting for their test results it truly makes me feel alot better...thanks!!

knathong, i am in the exact boat as you are! i took my exam on april 17th and i feel totally down. i talked to my former classmates who took the nclex, they all had between 75-180 questions, and got their results online within 3 days. I, on the other hand had 210 questions, it's been 4 days, and still no results. I hope it's true what they say taht it varies. ........I'm praying for both of us!

I took nclex 4/18/07 passed 4/20/07 on the ca website

Well ... my results were delayed because the BRN had to ask my school some questions about my transcripts ... probably because I had transfer credits from four different schools ...
Another friend of mine passed but didn't hear for two weeks ... while other people were up in just two days.
I know it's agonizing but ... you really don't know until they tell you for sure. Lots of people in my class passed at over 200 questions.
