I STOPPED AT 85-87 questions!!!
I just took the NCLEX-RN today:(
I was about to vomit as more questions kept coming after 75... I thought I was going to die... Finally at about 85-87 the computer shut off, just as I had calmed down enough to refocus!!!
I had 2 repeat questions about the same 2 drugs!!! ***???
I am petrified of failing, as I will lose my job!!!
HELP!!!
Has anyone heard of passing at 86ish????

You can pass at any number of questions between 75 and 265. Relax and take a deep breath. Most of all, good luck!

Hey there don't worry! Me and my friend are taking our boards Monday. Many of my other classmates have taken there boards alreadly all but one has passed and she had 75 questions. One of the girls in my class had 96 questions, another 110, and another took the full 265 questions and passed. The way we were explained in our 3 day NCLEX review class was that 15 of the questions that you recieve are test questions and do not really count. They are new type of questions that the boards are trying out. Secondly, we were told that we are not graded by percentage like we were at school. It is a grid line, if you answer the first question you start on the line, answer a second question you move up the line. The line is considered to be basic nursing knowledge. The lady who was doing our NCLEX review said that theortically you can miss 25 out of 75 questions or 1/3 of the test as long as your above that line. Hope this helps I will be going through the same thing that you are going through right now in a few days.

i was actually told that the average number of questions is ~110. I know, i felt like i had totally failed the exam...my life was over...lol. I actually sobbed like a baby that night. I had never left an exam wanting to cry, thinking i had failed...
but i passed . So apparently, this feeling is normal

I did my nclex RN yesterday, shut off at 87, after 75 questions, i started seein blurr, n cud not think well, but finally got rid of my anxiety n thought well now i have gud control, pheww am gonna make sure the rest to 265 i will get them right. Then the most awaited thing happened it shut off. Am scared to even go to the site to chek for anything, am think of waitn they send in via mail. How long does that take, anione. I had the most difficult exam ever, felt like i was doing masters or something, had to rechek to see RN n be sure its the right exam. I sooooooooooooo panicked, i hate to fail, so does everyone, but am not goin to the site. Any ideas or words of comfort as i wait
