I did pass. I just found out. IMO the questions weren't focused as much on knowledge base but the overall picture. Some of them you had to know the specific thing being asked and what was normal and lot. But most of the questions I had you had to look at the overall picture and decide what was best to do first, or who should you see first, or call back first. It didn't even matter if you didn't know what the exact disease was, you could figure out what the best action was by doing what we have been taught for years.

Just go take the test!!!! Don't put it off, go as soon as you can. I planned on waiting about 2-3 weeks from getting the ATT. Due to other situations I got my ATT and had to take it 2 1/2 days later. Like seriously, got my ATT Friday afternoon and I took the NCLEX This morning at 8 AM. It was either go today or wait until June 10th. The statistics show the longer you wait the chances of you passing go down. So as soon as you can, take it and get it over with. I was really scared and nervous to go in with only having 1 1/2 days to prepare. They say to not do any questions the day before, so I didn't do anything yesterday. But now, I am glad I did it. If the PVT works, then I passed, and if I passed I got a 2 week jump start on jobs over the other schools in my area!!!
So anyway, if you graduated and your school is good, just go do it.

75. Number 75 was my first math question. I hit enter and the computer turned blue and I panicked and wanted to scream for it to give me more questions. LOL

One-and-a-half DAYS!! That's just amazing! Congratulations! I'd like to ask you if you had much in the way of meds for the test? That's the part I'm most lacking in . . . and most worried about I think. :up:

I didn't really have time to prepare because I wasn't planning on taking it so soon. I did the Kaplan questions for the 2010/2011 edition. Honestly, the first part of that book that explains how the questions work and how to break them down was far more valuable. I also did practice question off the NCSBN site. It was 50 dollars for 3 weeks access, again though I was planning on having more time on it.

I had only a few meds on the test. Maybe like 5. But most of them you could break apart the question and figure it out (if I got it right) without even knowing the exact med. They say to not do practice questions the day before the test, so I didn't. So that gave me only half the day on Friday and then Sat. to prepare. I think it worked out in my favor though. Well obviously, but I had less time to freak out about taking the test and pretty much was running on adrenaline for a couple days. I mean I still freaked out about it, but I didn't have a whole lot of time to stew on it because I didn't have much time period and I had to drive 3 1/2 hrs away to take the test.

Scheduled for June 5th... I feel good but the butterflies are alive and well

I'm doing Saunders Comprehensive Review CD questions for content review, Kaplan online course and qbank questions for integrating content and strategy. Trying to keep a steady 75-100 questions/day total.

Hi guys, I just had my exam yesterday at 8:00am, and I am so mentally drained.. I finished the 265 Q's for 5 and a half hour!!!! The most horrible, exhausting day of my Life. I don't know what to say, to be honest I am a little bit frustrated, I am trying not to try the trick but that's the only way That could relieve from all the anxiety and sanity I am feeling for the past 20 hours. Been waking up from time to time thinking, damn I know I deffinitely know these things but it's so frustrating you didnt even bother to understand and make time to familiarize and understand. The PVT put me to the credit card page which is a sign of failure. Ugh! Been crying and crying from this moment. I failed those people who trusted in me. You know the feeling that your almost there but you can't reach it!! Omy.. I am going to blow up! I don't really know what to say, I am just venting out my feelings of dismay..
I know I am almost there, I just have to give it all next time.. I am going to reapply as soon as I receive the official result and and take it earliest possible..

dont give up as i said i failed 2x already and now im taking time to take my 3rd attempt.. what makes it hard on my part was my nursing experienced was enormous ,, imean i am qualified as an RN to 3 continent,(uk,asia,middle east) so when i failed i feel like the whole world drop on me i was so broken inside and out...now im reviewing hard and hoping to take the test in hte next 3-5 months...

hi there! I know nobody that will say i prepared for nclex. Really.one more important thing : Do not overstudy . I'm start studiing from april,& i'm plannig 2 take an nclex in the end of june. I'm doing 75-150 quest /day(4000 cd & lacharity), reading some notes. Hope i will pass this time(kind of hard with family & kids). Good luck 2 u too. Hope this helps.:)
