Nclex RN February 2017

Published

Welcome, I enjoyed viewing the January 2017 Topic. This post is for all those who are taking their NCLEX RN in February. Please share how you guys are doing with your review? What materials are you using? Lets do the same and encourage each other. Thanks

Ok my nerves are trying to kick in. I have been doing U world with only 700 questions done. My average is 57%. I scored 67th percentile with a Very high chance of passing. I scored 87% on the ATI predictor. I listened to the Hurst review tapes but have not studied the book. Lots of prayers sent my way to pass. I have prayed as well. Today I am just gonna review my Hurst study guide. Most people in my class passed with 75 questions. I am gonna prepare for 265 just in case. Tomorrow at 1 pm I take NCLEX. Xo :nurse:

Hi Nurselola16!

Thank you so much for your words of encouragement and positivity! I am glad to hear that I am averaging okay, I have seen many people pass the NCLEX with a 40-50% average so I'm sure you will kill it!!! Good luck to you! And let us know when you pass yours as well!

For those of you that took the NCLEX already, did you get a lot of pharm questions?

265 QUESTIONS AND 5 HOURS OF TESTING!

Hey guys! I'm new to this but I felt I had to share my story! I just took my NCLEX RN 2/7/2017, it was the worst test I have ever taken! I got 265 questions and it took me 5 hours. By the end of the test I was done taking my time to focus on the questions like I had been in the beginning, thinking that of course I failed. Why else would it make me take all 265 questions!? After I left I cried for about an hour, not because of the thought that I failed but also because it was so hard! I couldn't imagine having to do it again. I had tons of select all, prioritization, and "who would you call back first" questions. Of course I only had 2 dosage calc questions (which I'm awesome at) out of all 265 questions. I felt completely defeated. Called my mom crying, and she calmed me down enough for the night. I used the PVT and it gave me the good message an hr after, did it again 4 hrs later, and then again this morning and still got the good message. I couldn't rely on that though, I had no doubt I had bombed it! Little to find out , my licence had been up dated to Active RN on the state board website!!! I jumped around ran around my apartment for a good while! The whole point of my post is to not jump to conclusions, believe in yourself, and pray (if that's what you agree with). I did a lot of praying during the exam and more after. Just praying that I accept the outcome no matter what. Don't give up! Nobody leaves the NCLEX feeling like they passed I promise!

For those of you that took the NCLEX already, did you get a lot of pharm questions?

Read my post below. I know people that said they got around 30, I only got 2.

what time did you take it? I took at on 2/6 as well & haven't seen my license post yet

Mine was scheduled for 1pm, but started it at 12:20pm.

Congrats Grace2015! What were you averaging on uworld? I am averaging a 63% and got a 73% on the predictor (96th percentile). I test on Tuesday!! Any last minute things you looked over that you are glad you did? Thanks so much and congrats again!! :)

Those are great scores! You'll do amazing. My UWorld avg was 61% and 69% (94th percentile) on the predictor.

I looked over a study guide I found online and the notes I took while I reviewed the rationales.

Can someone explain to me what the PVT is? I went to Nursing School in Missouri but am from California and I'm taking my NLCEX this Saturday (Feb 11th). I need to know my results ASAP for my job that starts the 20th. Is the PVT re registering for the NCLEX? Also, once you receive your results, does that mean you receive your actual license or do you have to wait the full 6 weeks to receive your license. Thank you

Yes, PVT is basically re-registering for the NCLEX. If you take on Saturday, you should receive your results on Tuesday after midnight. My license posted to BreEZe

Once you have your license number, you're good to go. No need to wait for your license...good luck!

congratulations!! good for your for the endurance of 265 questions, i'm not sure i can "train" myself to 265 questions in one sitting (even with breaks) but if i had to, I guess there is no choice. I am happy for you RN :).

Congradualtions, creyna 123!!! You made it. What did you use for studying and what was your score. Would be appreciate if you share your success with us:)

Good luck, queenwandaful! My prayers with you. Don't forget to update us.
