NCLEX RN Exam! HELP! (May 2017)

Nursing Students NCLEX

Hello Everybody!

I'm testing NCLEX RN Exam at the end of May. I'm focusing on UWORLD as the rationales are really on point! I also have Saunders, LaCharity and other resources but I prefer Uworld and I use it most times. My problem is, I'm only scoring about 51.2% in the Uworld Qbank (did not answer yet the incorrect ones) with 1,300 more questions left. I have 26 days to go to finish the entire Qbank. I'm also working at the same time as a CNA and reduced my hours to part-time now. Did any of you pass with an average or below average score in Uworld? How was it?

I'm just so nervous with my scores. I feel like I still have a lot to learn. I would really appreciate your comments esp those who took the exam already and only used Uworld as their resources.

Thank you! God bless.

Thanks all of you for your replies!! Very much appreciated. :)

Congrats DefibMe!!! Told you you're gonna make it!! Happy for you. Hope i'll pass too. I have 18 days left. Sooo nervous now. :D

Thank you!! Believe me when I say, If I could do this then YOU CAN TOO. You still have a good amount of time left. Try your best, breathe, relax, take breaks when needed. You got this.

Sorry for late reply!! I would not recommend this but I used Uworld for two weeks before I took my test and that was it.

oh my me too, im doing it now for final week, i hope i can cover everything:((( huhuhu

Wow!!! Congrats to you. I hope I do the same.

I passed ! I passed with 75 questions! By using only uworld! No books, no other resources! Just uworld! I finished the Q bank, read rationales and highlighted important info, I did not take notes. After I finished all questions , I went over questions again just to read highlighted parts of each question. It is possible! Good luck everyone!
I Tried Pearsonvue trick right after the exam, and good pop up came out. But I think I did it too early, I had to wait 24 hours, I will try it again tomorrow. I just want to clarify, that overall the u world helped to refresh the content , especially meds, and priority questions( I had 3 of them)! But it was very important for me to know if they using same "language", and have some kind of similarity in the way the sentence constructed ( u world have simple language, which make it easy to absorb the content quickly.

hi, congrats on passing the nclex! btw since u mentioned "language" do you think nclex is written in a similar "language" as Uworld? I am also taking nclex this coming May 30th, also what was your average score on Uworld? if you dont mind. thanks!

Hey, u world's "language" is much easier than Nclex , I did not recognize many medical words on Nclex, I would say it was higher level of medical terminology, which made it harder to answer to the question. No worries, it is probably just me)) English is my second language, maybe that's why))) but anyway I am done! Thank you God!!!

I see, thanks for the info!! hopefully doesn't give me a hard time recognizing medical terminologies on the nclex because I am foreign educated.

OMG! Congrats RNRosy! CONGRATS!!! Happy for you! I was thinking that you pass too. I think even if it's within 24 hrs when you check the pearsonvue trick and it's a good pop up, it's PASS already! I have a friend who also checked hers an hour after the test and it was a bad pop-up, she failed. Hope I'll pass the test like most of you guys did! I have 16 days left! :D

You got this. Just stay positive, be confident, and know you are going to pass this test. Even if you are not able to cover everything, DO NOT worry. Just make sure the questions you do cover, you are reading thoroughly; read those rationales and really understand why you got the question wrong or right. If you rush through just for the sake of finishing all the questions you will not really hone in on those critical thinking skills.

For example, I was having an extremely hard time trying to figure out which patient to see first when EVERY patient could not breathe and all of them were bleeding and seemingly dead on arrival:D. I really read those rationales to teach my self how to identify which patient to prioritize (and then Uworld kept spitting those types of questions, and I got better at answering them). When you are answering Uworld questions really practice those critical thinking skills; try and cancel out at least two wrong options before you choose your answer. Even if you have no clue what the answer is; practice those skills and try and tease out at least two answers to choose from.

This is what I am most thankful to Uworld for; there questions and rationales helped take my critical thinking skills to a whole new level. There were several questions on Uworld that I had never even heard of; but because I had been doing the Uworld questions I could use critical thinking (and educated guessing) to guess the right answer. I know it sounds dumb; but the NCLEX honestly felt like a lot of educated guessing at times.

oh my gosssssh!! thankyou for the advice my anxiety has taken over me... but its like a withdrawal effect already... huhuhuhuh but i will still study and try now! as much as i can i will try and apply your teachings :) thank you so muchc, please help me pray for me to pass and everyone that will be taking:) Hope to experience your success one of these days

Just wanted to share my experience with the NCLEX on here for those who may be in a situation similar to myself.... I took the NCLEX 5/9/2017 and left feeling completely and utterly defeated! As I kept answering the questions, I braced myself for question 75 and it came and went... then 76.. 80... 100... 150... and finally at question 198 I RAN OUT OF TIME! I felt horrible and thought for sure 100% I had failed the exam! After driving home, I did some research about my chances of passing the NCLEX even though I had run out of time. It was through this forum that I found out about the Pearson Vue "TRICK" and after much debate, decided to try it since it was generally getting accurate results for most people. I decided to try it 4 hours after taking the exam as others had suggested, and after holding my breathe, I looked at my phone to see the "GOOD POP UP." Even though I wasn't too sold on this, it did give me a sense of hope that maybe, just maybe, there was some kind of chance out there that I really did pass the NCLEX.

Well fast forward 2 days... I kept checking the Pearson Vue trick at 24 hours, and sure enough, got the "GOOD POP UP." Finally, I checked Pearson Vue website 48 hours later and paid for the quick results... As I put in my payment info. and hit the submit button, my heart was racing.... It said my unofficial results "PASS!!!"

I just wanted to share my story to those of you who take the NCLEX and ran out of time. I thought without a doubt I had FAILED miserably! The only thing that gave me any glimmer of hope and put me at ease for the next 48 hours while I waited for my unofficial results was the PEARSON VUE TRICK. I am SOOO glad I stumbled upon it and that it definitely worked for me. So for those of you wondering if this trick is real or not, I am a living testimonial that it is 100% true! Hope this helps!
