Please any onfo you can give me would be much appreciated
Hi I took the Sylvia Rayfield review, the books they use for the review are great for a visual learner and using little saying to remember things. I also did learn how to breakdown questions to get to the correct answer. We will see if the review class helps, I test next week. I also used some other review materials as well. Hope this helps.
Dont forget to let us know how you did. did you try the PVT treat? Praying for your success as well.
I just wanted to let u guys know how i did ...... I found out today that i passed..... i didn't want to try the PVt trick, but one mind told me to try and i did and for the first time ever i got the pop up and was like wow... is this for real... and then couple of minutes later i checked the BON site and saw my name there with the RN license # and was so happy...... as i had checked a few minutes earlier and didn't see my name.... but with that said i thank everyone here as all nurses.com and good luck to everyone that still has to take their exam..... and to those waiting i know it's not easy believe me.... but try ur best and stay positive!!!!!!
strategy that worked for me: assess your capabilities, if u have the discipline to read atleast 30 pages a day and answer atleast 200 Q's a day then u can do self review. but if u are like me who consider books as sedatives then i suggest to invest in a good classroom setup review course. on my 4th try i took excel review center last month and had my exam yesterday and got the good pop up msg from the trick so i have my hopes high and feel as uf i pass already. dont be too technical and over analytical focus on what the question or situation is asking never assume, sometimes being too smart is not good. a must to memorize are the normal values esp. Ca, K, WBC, Platelets, digoxin, ABG's. then infection control is a big thing u must know what PPE to wear, avoid unnecessary use of equipment. be very familiar to diseases like addison's, cushing, myxedema and grave's as this are likely to confuse us coz one is exactly the opposite of the other. then prioritization who are u gonna see or attend first, utilize maslow, acute first before chronic as one of our professor in excel said think of who will go to the morgue 1st that can be saved or will live when saved thats ur priority because like in a disaster if the person is almost certain to die then u cant do anything but to let him die and attend to those who has high percentage to live, ABC but increase in ICP is also a priority next to airway. i hope someone here will correct me if im wrong but bottomline we are all dreaming to put RN or LPN after our name and that title needs a lot of determination and hardwork just do ur best and dont be scared to fail for i believe all things worketh together for good and in Gods time. so goodluck to all of us
