Introverted nurse+ ER nursing?
I just started to work in the ER. And I am also an introverted person. It is really hard to socialize but if your main reason for being there is for patient care, it wouldnt be an issue because your co workers will see that you are there for a right reason. And, most of the nurses and doctors that work in the hospital that I work with are very much introverted. It would be just fine. Just be yourself and dont try to change who you are, that is all that matters. :)

Career change
I am a LVN in California and I have 4 years of experience in LTC. Right now, I am unemployed because I quit due to burn out. It has been 9 months of job hunting and let me tell you it is frustrating to look for a job. Very mentally and emotionally draining. On top of that, I also broke up with a boyfriend. Everything just fell apart at once. It got me thinking of whether being a LVN is really for me. I feel like being a phlebotomist is a good job for me because whenever I see needles and tournique, it really makes me excited. At the same time, the stress level that nursing gave me really really drained me as a whole. I have been in situations I never imagine I would be.And it was very difficult and challenging. Right now, I know that phlebotomist is good for me.I thought being a nurse was easy.I realized that bedside nursing is not a good fit for me.I do still wanted to be in the medical field but with less drama and politics and stress. My question is if it is worth becoming a phlebotomist instead of being a LVN?Please do advice.

Who are you at work?
Nice! Oh well in my case i was also an achiever..before! Esp in highschool. But I became very lazy in terms of learning. Its safe to say that I have reached exhausion.Dont get me wrong. Im just in my twenty's. Although I still study hard, its just that the energy level wasnt the same as before. The motivation factor diminished. And that continued till now, I am as a nurse. I felt like I need to have a vacation maybe. Or maybe its just really surfacing that I can be very unenergetic sometimes.

Who are you at work?
As in my case, I am just a 3 week old nurse working in LTC. So far, I am learning little by little. You could just imagine how overwhelm I feel up until now. I dont know when it will stop. But I noticed that, attitude is everything.Esp if you are new to the place and profession. For me, I could say Im a lost kid at this moment! They describe me as 'girly'. But sometimes I would prefer to be called vixen. LOL But really we all know we have this preferred image/persona that we like to be. And I chose to be mysterious and sometimes loud. I dont know! Im a mixture maybe.

Who are you at work?
Working as a nurse anywhere is like students in a classroom. There are mixture various people, race, culture and mostly behaviors. I thought having a job in a working environment is different from a classroom setting. But I was wrong. Its still the same concept. A lot of intrigues, alliances, and politics. Just wanna know who are you at work? And how do you handle such conflict of personalities?
