NCLEX results pending...,meltdown

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

I took my nursing boards today and my computer shut off around 79 or 80 I stopped watching after 75...I think I only took 5 or 6 more questions after that. It took me about an hour and half...I'm starting to freak out though...I know I did really well on some parts of the exam and then other parts I just sat there with no clue as to what the answer was. I understand this is normal...does anyone know if they give you all 25 test questions (the ones that don't count for or against you) when you only answer 80ish questions? Do many people fail at 80 questions? Dear god make the next 36 hours go by faster this is driving me insane.

You may have done better than you think. Most people, myself included walk out of NCLEX feeling like they were whipped and thought it was a strange exam...nothing like what was taken in school (if anything can be worse already). People pass with all sorts of numbers, some minimal, some complete their total allotment of questions...more pass than fail.

I wish you the best of luck and hope to hear good news in a day or so!

I Hope you did well! You aren't going to try the "trick"?? I hope the trick is still working when I take mine. I am pretty sure that all 25 of the test questions are mixed into the first 75 questions (well I thought it was 15 questions maybe where you live its 25???)

Good Luck! I know you'll pass. I tried my luck on the NCLEX last March 2009, though I didn't pass. The PC shut off at 75. So, I did pretty bad. Update us later.. =D

waiting does suck...but let me tell you, i left my nclexRN exam crying like a baby..it shut off at 75 and i really thought in my heart i failed. I was so sure i almost called my employer to discuss my options. Took my exam tuesday morning got my results on thursday morning at 9am. WHen i saw the word PASS i nearly had a heartattack!! trust me, you probably did a lot better than you think!! keep us posted!

The best thing to do...hard as it is...wait for the results. Many pass and are surprized. I know I was...

I hope I get that surprise! :)

After reading tons of peoples posts about their tests shutting off around 75/80 I'm starting to feel better. It's just all the hurry up and wait that I think drives every person whoever has taken a test like this out of their mind...thank god for pizza, wine and wedding planning...they've been my staples tonight.

there was one poster who said he/she took the NCLEX and got his/her result in 3hours through the phone.

i forgot which post was that but i can swear i read it just 2days ago..

I walked out of the test POSITIVE I failed because I felt I got so many "basic" questions... I had knots in my stomach waiting to try the Pearson vue trick but ended up passing. I definitely think it's common to feel like that.

Good luck and I hope you passed!!!
