NCLEX repeat exam application

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

It's been 3 weeks already since I took the exam. And re-applied last Sept 1. But it looks like the CA BRN is taking longer this time. They are still procesing June 1-15, 2016 of those repeat/re-exam application and even those who are applying for first time, I noticed that it is still the same though it says on their site that it is updated as of 9/6/2016.

Any thoughts on how long would it take to process my application because I'm studying La Charity as of now and planning to subscribe UWORLD for 2months but I don't know if 2 months my application would be ready already. Thank you so much in advance for the replies.

Is this to get your license in a state you want to live and work in? Is the NCLEX hard? Isn't this the test that you have to take every year or two to keep your license active?

Yes this is to have your license in a certain state. Nclex is hard if you don't prepare enough like me before. You just have to take this once unless you're going to work in another state where in some cases they might ask you take the exam again.

Hi jzter09,

It's my first time using allnurses website. I'm glad to see your post. I took the NCLEX one week ago and realized that I didn't pass as well. I'm writing this to see if you are willing to share with me about how you re-applied for NCLEX. I need to re-apply ASAP. I did look at BON website to follow the re-apply application. I'm confused do we still need to do Nursing Program Verification Form? Do we need to get any other documents from our previous nursing program or figure print, life scan...before we re-apply? Thanks so much for any help! I know it is tough time for us, but I believe we will get over it.

Hi,

I so glad to see all of these posts. I took the NCLEX one week ago and realized that I didn't pass it. Now, I really need to figure out how to re-apply. I am in California. Would you mind to share with me how you re-applied the NCLEX? what are the steps? I did look at their website and saw "re-apply application". Is that the only application we need to fill out online or something else we need to get from our previous nursing program? One of the page is called "nursing program verification", do I have to have this signed by director of nursing program? how about finger print or life scan..? Thank you in advance if you are willing to share this information with me!! Thank you!! My email: [email protected]

Sorry for replying late. You just have to re-apply in CA breeze website. Just search that one and it will ask you some questions and form to submit. You can do it online so after filling it out you can upload the form and pay also online.

Hey! I'm in the same boat as superstar80! I just took my exam on the 19th of this month and I got the same thing on BreEZe. But every time I try to pay for it, it says there's an error and that I should cancel my application. Has anyone had that same issue? Do I have to wait till I get my official results to pay? Ugh. I'm so frazzled.

Filed complain on DCA website because it's been 26 days since I sent my application. But the one that I was complaining was their site saying it's updated as of latest date on september but it's the same dates that they are processing since I visited their site last August. So there is no progress on their processing that's why I complained. I hope to hear from them soon.

Good luck I hope you hear from them soon! I tried to make my complaint sound really desperate- like my family's well-being is depending on me taking this test, I'm considering moving out of state, etc. lol but it seemed to work. You could also keep sending complaints if you don't hear back within a few days- there's no limit. I sent the complaint monday and heard back on wednesday.

I also took my test two days ago! Just waiting for results but I feel confident and got he good pop up : )

Did you file a complaint after the 45 days or did you file a complaint before the 45 days was up?

How did you make your complaint to the DCA seem like your familys well being depended on it? I sent you a Mesaage.Look forward to hearing from you!
