NCLEX repeat exam application

Published

It's been 3 weeks already since I took the exam. And re-applied last Sept 1. But it looks like the CA BRN is taking longer this time. They are still procesing June 1-15, 2016 of those repeat/re-exam application and even those who are applying for first time, I noticed that it is still the same though it says on their site that it is updated as of 9/6/2016.

Any thoughts on how long would it take to process my application because I'm studying La Charity as of now and planning to subscribe UWORLD for 2months but I don't know if 2 months my application would be ready already. Thank you so much in advance for the replies.

what review materials did you use when you take the nclex the first time?

Saunders comprehensive 6th edition and NCLEX Mastery. I have no idea of the NCLEX yet at that time but UWORLD and La Charity are the good review material.

Did you finish reading the Saunders book?

I sent in my CA re application 8/3 and still waiting for my ATT, so I'd say planning for at least 2 months, if not more, is perfect.

And their processing times have been saying "June 1-15" since I applied over a month ago.. not sure how it can take that long to review two weeks so I'm hoping they're farther along than that.

I'll post if anything happens with my app to give you more info about how long it will take.

I am studying UWorld and PDA also, as well as Saunders since all I studied with was Kaplan the first time which sucked! good luck to both of us with studying :)

Thank you so much!! Let's keep everyone else updated. :)

I was able to schedule my test for the end of this month yesterday. What helped was I made a complaint on the DCA website earlier this week. A few days later someone called and said they pushed my app through. If you Google "DCA public comments" the form should be the first link.

So if you find yourself waiting longer than you'd like you can try that and hopefully it will work :)

Wow. Goodluck to you! Thank you so much, I'll definitely try it when I get home. í ½í¸Š

Thank you :)

You might want to wait until your 45 days are up to do it, they might not take it seriously if you do it before then, but I'm not sure!

Okay. I'll try it on mid october. Will update soon as I do it. Thank you again! í ½í¸Š

I'm in the same boat as you. I reapplied on July 28th and still nothing form the BRN regarding my ATT. I just sent them my complaint letter as jzter09 mentioned. Hopefully we'll get our ATTs soon.

I feel your pain. I couldn't imagine waiting 3 months to retest so I looked all over for ways to get my app through to the BRN.

You can also try writing to a member of your local state assembly or local Congress member. I did that also but I don't think it's what actually made my app get pushed through, I'm pretty sure the complaint is what made them look at it.

Good luck studying :)
