  1. YAY! Congrats @missjaycee! I hope I get a call back soon too! >.
  2. Wooo! A thread for this!! :) I got a call back today for an interview on wednesday for Mother/Baby! I know Oncology unit had interviews today.
  3. I've had a labor and delivery preceptorship, had experience at Kaiser Permanent as an intern where I educated expectant mothers and young moms, and volunteered in the same hospital in a postpartum unit and postpartum lactation program. It's seriously baffling :/ I can even send you my resume and cover letters to get your input? I need all the help I can get
  4. Hi there! I'm a new graduate nurse looking to find a job in women's health, particularly in L&D, Mother/Baby, NICU, or OB. However, I've been honestly struggling so hard. I've done the certifications like NRP, STABLE, and Basic FHM. I also have become a member of AWHONN. I've applied to so many hospitals and not ONE has called me back for an interview. I have had two interviews in non-women/baby units and they both have noticed my resume pretty much smells of mother/baby/L&D. I'm honestly feeling so discouraged right now and I'm at loss as to what to do next. Should I tailor my resume to not include mother/baby certifications anymore? Am I putting too much? Am I missing something? Am I applying to early? Any advice (and encouragement to be honest...) would be appreciated. I just want my dream job and I'm not sure if I should settle for something else right now and then transfer...
  5. @rnby21: how recent was it that you did this? I'm so scared I'm going to wait forever
  6. Hey everyone! I failed the NCLEX last month. I took the test on the 20th and received my fail notice 5 days later. I re-registered for my test online the next day. For people in California who have gone through this before, how long does it take to get a new ATT #? I know we have to wait 45 days in between test dates. I tried calling the board but with no avail :/ Any ideas on what I should do now?
  7. Hello everyone! Does anyone have any UWorld tips or tricks that helped them to increase their scores? I'm currently trying to study through it, but my scores are slowly dwindling. What I try to do is take two 75 general questions tests (includes all subjects/topics) and from there I look at my weak points and take one 50 question test everyday based on that. However, I noticed that my scores are slipping :/ Any tips?
  8. @supernursern1: I didn't. I first did questions on Kaplan and the online resource guide to see what I struggled in and mainly studied and took notes on those sections. @CA_nurse90: I took it this past monday and got my letter yesterday. I think how fast you get your letter all depends on how fast your school mails your transcripts to the boards.
  9. @supernursern1 I used kaplan for study strategies and qbank questions. Then I used Saunders for content review and questions. I haven't used uworld though.
  10. I hope I can revive this thread but to all my fellow California future RN's, does anyone know how long it'll be to receive an ATT at this point in time (September)? I just paid for my retake exam today and I took my exam on Monday. I obviously have to wait 45 days between tests, but does anyone know how long it'll take for a retake ATT to come through?
  11. I just got my official letter saying I failed. I was near average with all of them but pharm and basic comfort and care which were below average. I have some questions: For anyone who has been in my shoes, does anyone know when they got their retake ATT? Also, any study tips? I studied all of Kaplan's questions. I have the Saunders book and have been doing the online practice for that. I've also heard about Uworld, so I'm thinking of doing that.
  12. Hey! I'm in the same boat as superstar80! I just took my exam on the 19th of this month and I got the same thing on BreEZe. But every time I try to pay for it, it says there's an error and that I should cancel my application. Has anyone had that same issue? Do I have to wait till I get my official results to pay? Ugh. I'm so frazzled.
  13. UGH JEEZ. It took a month for them to send you the fail notice? Damn. Not looking forward to that :/ Let me know if anything happens! I'm sending you good luck vibes that you find out soon!
  14. Hey! I have to do this too! How long did you wait to pay Breeze? I took it on Monday and I'm SURE I failed so I'm trying to pay for it now since it's already up. Did you wait a certain amount of time until you paid the $150? I just want to get this over with
  15. Also, I'm in California and I'm trying to reapply on the Breeze website but it's not letting me see process it? It keeps saying there's a technical error and that I should cancel my application? I'm so confused. Should I call?
