Hello! Do any Puerto Rico Nurses knows how to take (apply) the NCLEX. All ready took the state exam "Revalida" and passed it but I want to expand my wings and try the states, but don't know how. Do I have to apply first for any board or just take it home (PR) pass and then apply? I know its a lot of money involved and I was wondering also if it was best to take it and then go ahead and apply for endorsement. Thanks in advance
Hi, I was following your thread and wanted to know did you graduate from Universidad del Turabo program? I currently turned in my application for Ana G mendez in Miramar, Fl and waiting for a response. I wanted to know if if you liked the program and how was your experience.
Thanks for your response in advance :)
Hello Wisconsin now considers Puerto Rico as international education and all applicants must pass the English proficiency exam and send your transcript through a third party evaluation company, which sort of pricy.
Our next options for the ones who finished a nursing program in PR is do it through Colorado State.
You can call the board and ask. If they tell you that you need to process your application through CGFNS International, Inc. | Global Credibility | and to pass TOFL exam then it means they are still considering PR as international. Colorado state is pretty easy and many of my classmates did it through Colorado and then endorsed their license to their home state. I did my boards through California state because Is where I live and does not see PR graduates as international.

If you do not meet the qualifications in CABRN for license by examination you will not meet the qualifications for license by endorsement as they are the same. Even if licensed in one of the 49 other states, you still need to meet the same qualifications to endorse back to CA.
