nclex-pn stopped at 85 bandwagon

Published

i really think i failed... i did really good during the nursing program... used a few review books, but i dont think they helped at all... it felt like i was guessing all throughout nclex and that i wasn't using anything i learned from school nor from all the review books i used...

my nclex consisted of questions that were random meaning that the previous questions did not come from the same system/subject as the one after it (i was told that if you get it right then next question would come from the same subject but it will be harder and vice versa) my test wasn't like that.. got lots of SATA also, few, lots of prioritization and delegation.. anyone had the same experience and passed?

There is no telling what questions you will get, Hang in there and wait for your results. Good luck

what books did you use to review? I take my test in 21 days and still can't really motivated to study. have been doing about 75-100 on NCLEX3500 but still not feeling prepared. when in do the questions my score is normally 61-65

I took the test on Sunday, I felt prepared and then once I took the test, I felt that I wasnt as prepared as I had thought that I was. I believe that taking the time to study is important but when you get in there the test is a whole other beast. I had 20 SATA questions I also did not feel that the questions were in the same category. I still dont have my results because my state does not participate in the early results program, so I will have to wait a few days to get my results in the mail. I have been sitting around the house feeling down for the past 3 days, but when I woke up this morning I have decided to let that all go. I am done with the test I cant change anything now, if I pass I will be the happiest person in the world, if I dont then I will decide then what my next step will be. But just keep faith in yourself and keep praying. Best of luck!

skeeter96,

i used kaplan strategies, nclex2500, saunders mostly, lippincott, examcram.. for nclex2500 i got around 50-70..but my instructor from my review class said that it doesnt matter what score you get..what matters is that you get practice on nclex style questions and you're learning the rationales.

i think examcram had questions that are similar to the nclex, but they dont really have good rationales. saunders and kaplan were the ones i think that helped me a lot. goodluck to you!

thanks Camel1118 i think you going to pass now you have to believe in your self as well.

Rememeber HAVE FAITH!!!

jasonmcdowell,

i felt the same way too... i felt like i just guessed all throughout the test.. i dont think anything can prepare you for the test.. well goodluck to all of us

skeeter96,

my only advice is that if at anytime you get nervous, scared or just anything, pray to God to take all those away and you'll feel much better.. goodluck once again!

I stopped at 85 thinkind I'd passed...or falied...I falied *sniff*but that was a couple months ago (since March) I've completed Suzannes 1st tip and awaiting for her 2nd tip and regret that I shouldn't be paying too much for a review program. I guess people study differently either at a fast pace or slow pace cuz right after nursing school I was soo overwhelmed that there's wayy to many study programs out there and no matter the cost you'll either pass or fai. Im confident that Suzannes 2nd tip will help me pass cause I been reading that people have been passing after taking it after 2 or 3 times. It took me awhile to be convinced. Well good luck on every1 taking it again.
