NCLEX-PN, PVT “Results on hold”

Hello everyone, I hope someone can answer my questions and give some peace of mind. I took my NCLEX-PN on Friday, 4/3/2020, got cutoff at 60 questions. With the whole coronavirus pandemic, they made some changes to the minimum and max cutoff numbers with 60 minimum and max 130. So I got the minimum cutoff. When I did the PVT about 2 hrs later and after receiving the email, it told me my results where on hold. So no answers there. I waited til today, Sunday, to try and do the quick results since they now offer it in California. Still says they have not received my results. I’m so anxious and I need to know my results! It’s a horrible feeling having to wait. Can I not access my results because it’s Sunday? I read on other forums that people are able to see their quick results on Sundays. Is it because of my hold? And how long can the hold last? I didn’t have any complications with my palm scan, that I know of, and I don’t think I finished too quick. I did the 60 questions in a little over an hour. I just need some peace of mind and some rest. Thank you to anyone who can give some answers and sorry for it being so long.

Yes, because of this pandemic they now offer ca with quick results.

I did NCLEX mastery, NCSBN review, I also studied my labs, and did the remark book! I can honestly say this time I studied so much harder than any other time. I did about 150 questions a day. Youtube videos as well.

I made sure I was good on med math too, because I suck at it. LOL. But oh well.

Hi @Ljill74, I am in California too. I got cutoff at 60 and I got a more SATA than I can remember. 1 drag and drop and I believe only a few medication related ones. I had to do the quick results on Monday since I took my test on Friday. Hardest weekend of my life ?. But u passed! And I was do relieved. Just keep calm as much as possible, sounds like you studied hard, I’m sure it paid off. And @AspiringRN, I’m trying indeed, it’s mostly a lot of home health jobs that I’m kinda scared of, but the search continues! Anyways, I hope both of you girls passed your test, let us know once you find out ??

I took my test on Tuesday, had all 130 questions. I felt so defeated while walking out. I’ve been trying the PVT and it still says results on hold and I can’t schedule at this time. I’m so upset. It’s been almost 48 hours, why is it still on hold? I definitely studied hard with Mark Klimek and UWorld. I felt confident going in and when taking the test it was extremely hard. I felt like nothing I had studied prepared me for it.

@rbclem01 I felt like I didn’t know anything either. I mostly studied with ATI. I’m sure they have quick results where you are at, just keep checking to see if your result have posted yet. I checked first thing on Monday morning, I think it was around 8am. And I had taken my test on Friday at 12pm. Unfortunately, “results on hold” isn’t good or bad, you just have to wait for the quick result, which hopefully should be in soon. Good luck! ?

Just finished my exam as well the computer turned off at 60 questions. I just pray everything goes well for everyone. I'm too nervous to do the PVT.

@Cassie Boatwright I say just try it. The trick is to change the expiration date from what is actually on your card so it doesn’t actually go through. PVT is mostly right, only a very few times have read that it didn’t work for them or (like me) it will say “results are on hold”. Which means you will have to wait for the quick results. Only do the PVT if you feel comfortable doing it. I know it can be a scary thing, but just try and keep calm. Sometime the PVT can ease your anxiety. I hope you passed ??

Thanks for responding. I just don't know why it would be on hold. It's so nerve wrecking. I said many prayers to pass. We'll see.

@Cassie Boatwright I got the same pop up. I want to feel stoked but man would I feel like a fool if I open up my quick results and I fail. I’ll celebrate tomorrow if I pass. All that “good pop up” message does it relieve a bit of anxiety but it’s not a clear indicator of passing. Nothing is 100 percent
