NCLEX PN in 10 days!!!

Published

Will be taking my nclex pn on march 4.. For those who of you guys who took it, do you have any advice??? Is nclex 3000 or saunders similar to the actual test?! Pls help!! Thanks in advance!

Yes good luck !!! Soooo nervous lol did you focus more on questions or content ?

I focused more on content, but right now im doing 150-200 questions per day. I used saunders for nclex rn cos it's the only "content" book that i have and i guess it's the same? Lol how bout you?

Content and questions. If I score less than 80 on a system or I come across something I've never heard of I'll look it up. I find coming questions I retain information better though.

Hi! I got your message but couldn't respond so I hope this helps you!

What reviews and study methods are you doing?

a lot of my questions were SATA and priority nursing questions meaning If you have 4 patients which would you see first etc. for my review all I did was ati/ati virtual and received the green light to test. The two nights before that I loaded down on YouTube reviews the REMAR review on YouTube was pretty good I'd recommend that if you have no other resources she has practice questions and lectures for free on her YouTube chanel.

dont make yourself sick studying, it won't be like what you think it will be like. it has more to do with your life experience and what kind a student you were. do learn some basic lab values and converting temperatures f to c.

I would just read a book called exam cram and do some nclex questions, pay attention to diseases and treatment like diverticulitis.

Hi,

I am taking the nclex pn on March 4th as well. Wishing you all the best!!! I am using Saunders (Red Book) and the Exam Cram (Blue Book). Next week I plan on doing nothing but Nclex questions. I am doing some now but will step it up quite a bit starting Thursday. My former nursing instructor told us to use only one book to study. I couldn't help it. I had to use two.

I agree it's hard trying to stick with one but I'm staying pretty consistent with the ones I am utilizing cause the questions are worded differently and based on my scoring I'm able to tell how well information. Are you reading that entire saunders red book ?!?

Okay thanks for your advice!!!! :)

I used Pearson's exam cram study book for PN and passed my first attempt with it shutting off at 80 something questions, I read the entire exam cram book and memorized the exam cram sheet with all the lab values and drug therapeutic levels on it etc, it took me about 7 days to go through all the chapters and answer the practice questions at end of each section. The book also comes with a CD rom that prepares you for the nclex, I loved that book and it got me my PN license :-D !!

I bought exam cram ebook.. Is there a difference with the actual book?

The Actual book comes with a CD rom that has 200 question quizzes on it similar to the format on the Nclex. They're just practice questions though so if you have iPhone you could download nclex practice questions aps, which also helped me a lot.
