Nclex-pn in california

Hello to all I'm new to this site and was hoping someone could advise me. I took the Nclex-pn 3 weeks ago, on Aug 1st. I still havent received my results in the mail yet. Does anyone know how long it can take and what the envelope will look like, thick or thin, if I pass or fail. The wait is making me absolutely crazy :crying2: I know the amount of questions is no indicator of whether I passed, so I am totally clueless. My husband is very insensitive to this subject, he keeps saying, "its just a test, whats the big deal" but to me it is a big deal, it the start to the rest of my life, and I worked hard for it.

It can usually take about one month, but then it will not be your license that you receive, it will be a letter telling you that you passed, or didn't pass. Remember that you have not paid the $100 fee for your license yet... :)

I took my nclex exam on aug 5th and I havent heard anything as well. I took it in Anaheim California. It will be 3 weeks this friday. Now last friday I was sent a brochure on Nclex Seminars that will take place in a month or so, so that tells me I didnt pass. I feel really bad inside. If you havent received a brochure most likely you passed. I just dont think it's right that a brochure will show up before the actual results from the boards. I have been sick inside. Good Luck!

I took the Nclex Exam on Aug 5th and last week I received a brochure on Nclex Seminars that will take place next month. My question is do you know why the brochure will come in the mail before the results from the boards? This tells me that I didnt pass or why else will they send this to me. The brochure coming before the results is really a big disapointment. I feel very sick inside, the little hope I had is gone. I took the test in California.

Who sent you the booklet? An outside company, or the BON? If an outside company, remember that they buy lists of names from the BON............

I personally think that it is very rude of them, and would refuse to do any business with them at all, for that tactic alone.

Yes it was a brochure from a outside company by the name of California School of Health Sciences. The website address is http://www.hprovider.com I called and ask them the question of where did they get my name and address from because I never signed up and the lady told me they get of list of names from the LVN and RN boards. Thats all she would say. I think that this not a good way of finding out results. This is confirmation that I didnt pass. Thank you Suzanne

I still do not think that it is necessarily in stone that you did not pass.

I also do not agree with their marketing techniques.

I personally would suggest that you report them to the BON.

I am sure that the BON only sell a list of names that took the exam, not just the ones that did not pass.

Thanks so much Suzanne, I will be calling the BON first thing in the morning. This will help other candidates that have recently taken boards or that will take them soon.Hopefully they dont receive a NCLEX seminar brochure 2 weeks after they have taken the boards and before they get results from the boards.

I passed and still getting the brochures, It does not mean anything. The board just takes awhile to get the paperwork done

both, I got one yesterday and got a letter from the board I passed over a month ago, so don't worry. They buy the names from the board and just send them out. Again it means nothing.

Thank You so much Cheetah. I have been feeling really sick inside. I feel a little better now. Thanks again. I will post my results when I get them.
