  1. both, I got one yesterday and got a letter from the board I passed over a month ago, so don't worry. They buy the names from the board and just send them out. Again it means nothing. Chet
  2. I passed and still getting the brochures, It does not mean anything. The board just takes awhile to get the paperwork done Chet
  3. True, but I am on many other forums , crit care, trauma, PA and NP forums. I never hear anyone complain of losing their scope. It all seems to come from nurses. I have lost one scope, as a paramedic and know who took it. She took it when she left the company. Not an accident I am sure. Chet
  4. Depends on a few factors. What are you going to use it for? If you need to hear quiet murmurs then you should have a high end scope. If you are not working in an area that is that detailed a good, but lower end scope should work fine. The bottom line is to try them out first, and go with what you like and feel comfortable with. And addressing the matter of the "scope walking away". Does not say much for the honor of nurses now does it. Chet
  5. If you live in San Diego, go up to the Med School bookstore. I am sure u can try them there. Might not carry the ultrascope tho. Chet
  6. Hi, sorry it took so long to reply, I got a ltr from the board at just about two weeks. So I imagine you have heard by now. Chet
  7. How many of you use the Merck Manual, and what do u think of it. Chet
  8. What everyone else has said. Be Safe Chet
  9. A nurse is a nurse Chet
  10. I worked at one hospital that had a bin at the department door to dump all the hospital's stuff in it as you left work, tape, swabs etc. I figured after awhile it did add up in saving the hospital money. Chet
  11. I took mine on the 9th and got the letter yesterday that I passed. Letter was dated the 21 I got 85 questions Chet
  12. It has been a loooooooong two weeks but got a letter from the board today and I passed the NCLEX-PN Now I need a beer :) Thanks to everyone for their good wishes. Chet
  13. I took the NCLEX two weeks ago, and still waiting. I am driving my friends nuts. As I have said before, Waiting sucks Chet
  14. Your MBA would be a major asset. I am redo my LVN, then into the first RN program I can get into. Off to work Chet
