Hi
I am having a few issues with my recruitment company not being exactly speedy regarding submission of my documents to USCIS. Passed NCLEX in April - the company tell me it will take 12-14 months to get to Packet 4 (this excludes 2 months by the company vetting my documents before they send them to USCIS). Does this seem rather a long time? Whilst I didn't think the complete process would take a few weeks, I didn't expect another 14 months on top of my current 14 months in the system :angryfire
Can anyone give me the length of time it took them from passing NCLEX to actually getting Packet 4 (from other threads, I take it to be approx 1 month minimum from Packet 4 to leaving the UK)?
Any help would be appreciated.
Regards

I believe that you can get more of an idea of immigration times once you have visa screen and paid your money to US embassy and then received and sent of packet 3. It can take a long time and you are probably looking from 8 months upwards, after you have submitted documents. Some people on here have waited years. Read the thread how long from Uk to US gives good guidelines :)

Thanks! I have read the above thread you started several times over the past few weeks and am probably having some sort of psychological blocking process going on that makes me refuse to believe what I'm reading!! It appears that some are more fortunate than others when it comes to speed of processing, especially when they've gone it alone and/or have been fortunate through the centre they're being processed.
What I don't fully understand is how it can differ so greatly
It really is frustrating 3 YEARS!!!!
Cheers
I have to say that from my point of view I havent had problems with my agency. The time span is not too awful it goes quickly lol. If everything goes according to my agency i should be there by early 2006.
Every one of my documents was completed and checked by company prior to passing NCLEX. I have had to do no paperwork since then as I did it all. Now all I have to do is wait for packet 4. I have of course had to collect all documentation and photcopies to be ready for when i am called for. But I do not know where I will be living for next 2 years of my life where as the go it alone nurses do know. :)

Once you have Packet 4, the wait is relatively short, however to get to that point, the wait can be a year of longer....where is your employer located? Where are you going to be processed out of?
Length of time has nothing to do whatsoever with the time that you took NCLEX, but when your initial documents are submitted and approved.
How were you in the system already? Taking exams has nothing to do with the process at all. When did you sign with your agency?

Hi,
I sat NCLEX August 2004, got phase 1 approval December 2004. I have just got my date for the embassy interview at the end of July, and should fly out in early August.
I am with an agency, I believe the same one as madwife2002.I started with them initially in February 2004.
Hope this helps,
Goodluck!

Do you know where you are going to and specifically? They usually change cities, and sometimes even the state. Makes it hard for a spouse to find a position in that area. They will not guarantee you the location, if they have, make sure that you get it in writing.
O' Grady Peyton- I've had no problems. I just need to know where \I am off to. I would at this stage recommend them
Yes, I know department, hospital, city and state.I am going to Bakersfield, CA.
Although I have been to CA before,I have never been there.Thats part of the interest though.I am divorced, so no worries about pleasing anyone else.
I found out where I was going in March.OGP did not put any pressure on me to accept the first interview they offered and in fact this was the second place they offered me an interview with.
