Hello fellow NCLEX takers ... I wanted to start a chat for everyone taking the NCLEX in October ... let's motivate each other. When you need a pick me upper let's check up on each other. What are you using to prepare for the NCLEX? What date in October are you taking the NCLEX? Are you taking NCLEX PN or NCLEX RN?
I'll start with me. My name is Nadia and I'll be taking the NCLEX PN on October 13th. This will be my fourth time to take the NCLEX ... the last time I took the NCLEX was in 2008. I had to take a required refresher course in Florida in order to be eligible to sit for the exam again ... I did that and also did clinical which I absolutely love because I didn't get the same experience when I was in school. I have been using Saunders, just recently completed the Hurst Live Review (which I absolutely loved) and I will be purchasing U World. I've learned so much in the past year and so motivated to start my career. I do work a full time and I am a Team Lead so I have a hectic day almost every singe day. I have no choice but to make time when I get off to study from 7pm until I get tired and that may be 11 pm or 12 am. If I'm too tired to look at the computer then I'll plug in my headset and listed to the Hurst audio and put it in my long term memory as they call it lol. Hoping to hear from others as I love reading this forum getting different ideas from other fellow nclex takers.
Blindsayyyy said:I took mine a few weeks ago! I used uworld, Mark K, and hurst. And I passed. I felt like I had failed but I didn't! And nothing, really nothing could have prepared me for that exam.
I'm using Mark K, and uworld.....did you find Mark K really helpful? Oh congratulations!
I found uworld more helpful. Mark only focuses on memorization stuff, and I have zero use for that. I still listened because I didn't want to miss out. Nothing he said was even remotely close to being on MY exam. Well other than the priority questions, which I already had learned to answer from a lacharity PDA book.
I passed my Rn last oct 2. I studied for 6 months. I used hurst for almost 2 months watching it, then ila charity, saunders together with ncsbn and the test plan after that i did u world straight for 2 months. And i a loooot of prayers. Was specific on my prayers and God answered it. Dont be in a hurry to take ur test, keep answering questions everyday. Uworld help me a lot with prioritation, when i took my test all prioritation, 6 sata, 1 com , 2 pharma (pneumonia, copd, ob, a lot of infections control.) keep doing uwolrd. It really help a lot with the test. Good luck

Yes you will! I need to follow your strategy as far as social media. I have no power right now due to Irma so that won't be hard. We are in crunch time now!
