NCLEX 2nd time around

Hi all,

at this point, I'm pretty sure I know that I haven't passed. Now just waiting on the official results in the mail. but when can I sign up for my second attempt? Can I sign up at Pearson Vue now? (When I haven't even received my results in the mail, yet?) Also, does anyone know how long we have to take it and pass in VA? Do we have a time limit? I'm more determined than ever to take it and pass this next time! Do we have to submit another application in the mail with a picture again and get it notarized? Thank you sooooo much!

Thanks p_one. I find out in less than 12 hours....my stomach is still in knots, and I cannot sleep for the life of me. It's like I've become possessed! When are you taking your exam again?

Don't worry. In a few hours you'll find out, and you'll be writing back this time to say you passed!! :) We'll keep our fingers crossed! I haven't received my paperwork yet, so as soon as I get it I'll decide when I should take it again. Don't want to rush it, but again, maybe 45 days is enough time? :)

p_one, I seriously think you are gonna be an amazing nurse - I know I don't know you, but your "aura" totally comes through and I can tell! Sounds cheesy, but what can I say! Seriously, I only really got a bit of a grip on myself after reading your posts - you were writing all the things I was feeling and going through, yet you were able to overcome them, acknowledge your feelings, bounce back, and be supportive! Regardless of whether or not you believe in it or want it - I am going to pray every single day for you until I find out that you passed (and I KNOW you will). :)

p_one! Have you rescheduled your exam yet? I read your previous post and you said you haven't gotten your paperwork from the BON. I didn't wait for my paperwork (it should come this week). I went online, printed the application for retaking the exam and sent it to BON w/ $25 check and I was able to get my new ATT a couple of days after and rescheduled my test w/ Pearson...well of course you have to pay that $200. And yes, I am in VA, where in VA are you from?

I am redoing the Kaplan since they have that money back guarantee if you don't pass. I took advantage of it and instead of taking the money back, I am redoing them again. I'm looking at contents on Saunders book but focusing more on doing questions (Qbanks and QTs). If you are a first time taker, just got off school and did all the program the first time u took Kaplan, you should be able to do the same. Let me know...

I really hope we pass! I retake mine Aug. 24th and I'm hoping I pass this time. We will get through this...we will be RNs...soon... :)
