  1. OMG... Congratulations... well deserved! I knew you can do it! I am so happy for you and hopefully someday I can post my success story here as well. Please pray for us who are still on the process to pass this exam. I know we can do this and we will be RNs like you someday. Thanks for sharing your story.

  3. Hey everyone! I am retaking my NCLEX exam this Monday at 12noon. I hope that everyone would keep me in their thoughts and prayers that day. Am I ready? I don't think I will ever feel ready...but I will try to stay calm and relaxed this time coz I know that's what got me when I first took it last month. I have been studying and keeping positive thoughts and vibes. I really hope I pass this time and I will keep everyone posted. Please give me good/positive vibes...and keep them comingthis way. Wish me luck and keep me in your prayers... thanks y'all and God Bless! :) nursetobe4 :wink2:

  5. I still don't get it... I don't know how you got 4ml/min...Please help me! I appreciate it...
  6. thenurse2b08! Good luck tomorrow...You will do great! I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers... I will be looking forward for you to post that you are officially an RN... I can't wait to post that myself. I am retaking mine on Aug. 24th. Stay calm, BREATH, do not let anxiety get to you (I know that's what happened to me), take your time and pray... you will be RN so very soon... I am proud of you already! Get a good night sleep and best of luck to you!
  7. hey dave! Thank you so much for all these wonderful post of awesome information. I too didn't pass my exam the first time and been studying to retake it on Aug. 24th. When do you retake yours? I took Kaplan before and I am redoing them again. I am aso using Saunders to review contents and also the videos that Kaplan provides online. I really hope I pass this time. How are you studying? When do you take your exam?
  8. p_one! Have you rescheduled your exam yet? I read your previous post and you said you haven't gotten your paperwork from the BON. I didn't wait for my paperwork (it should come this week). I went online, printed the application for retaking the exam and sent it to BON w/ $25 check and I was able to get my new ATT a couple of days after and rescheduled my test w/ Pearson...well of course you have to pay that $200. And yes, I am in VA, where in VA are you from? I am redoing the Kaplan since they have that money back guarantee if you don't pass. I took advantage of it and instead of taking the money back, I am redoing them again. I'm looking at contents on Saunders book but focusing more on doing questions (Qbanks and QTs). If you are a first time taker, just got off school and did all the program the first time u took Kaplan, you should be able to do the same. Let me know... I really hope we pass! I retake mine Aug. 24th and I'm hoping I pass this time. We will get through this...we will be RNs...soon... :)
  9. lilygrl... Congratulations! I am so happy for you! I take mine Aug. 24... pls keep me in your thoughts and prayers... I am redoing the questions in Kaplan and looking at Saunders for contents. When I took it the first time, I have noticed that the questions were very similar to Kaplan's Qbanks so I am redoing them again. I really hope I pass it this time, I really want to be an RN just like you! Your post was the very first post I read in this site right after I failed and googled Failing NCLEX...I was lost but your post/thread had let me to this site and I was so happy I found it... Thanks so much and Congrats again... Well Deserved! :)
  10. Hey p one! Yes, I have already signed up...I'm retaking it on Aug. 24th! I've done Kaplan before and now I'm redoing them. I'm also looking at Saunders to review the content. When did you take yours? I'm sorry to hear that you didn't pass, but that's okay... you can take it again. Someone suggest me here to take few weeks off to recover... I was really devastated when I found out I failed... so I took a couple of weeks off of studying, allowed myself to feel sad and then I picked myself back up and get back on the gear. We can do it! I know we can...I'm constantly working on my confidence and thinking positive thoughts! I know we can do it...second time is a charm and we will be RNs...SOON! :)
  11. Yup, and I know for sure that the reason I didn't pass was because I didn't control my anxiety. But now I know what to expect and next time I will be calm and take my time... I am retaking it on Aug. 24th...pls pray for me! Thanks and I'm so glad I found this site! :)
  12. p one! you can call BON and ask if you passed. I took the exam 2 weeks ago and didn't pass. You have 45 days to retake it and once you called BON and confirmed you didn't pass (I hope they tell you YOU PASS!!!) then you can register w/ Pearson Vue again. It will take about a week to get your paperwork from the mail from the BON (a breakdown of how u did) and go from there! Good luck I hope you you pass... :)
  13. Wow...this is awesome! Thank you so much for sharing your notes David! I took the NCLEX 2 weeks ago and didn't pass But studying again to retake on Aug. 24th and this helps BIG TIME!
  14. YES! I am staying positive! I have taken the NCLEX and failed the first time. I am retaking it on Aug. 24th. I have come up with the conclusion that when I took it the first time, I was really anxious and was somewhat in a hurry. I still don't know what was wrong with me, but I've moved on and doing questions everyday until I retake it. I hope I pass it this time. I am keeping the positive attitude with me and I will definitely take my time when I walk in that testing center again. Most of my friends have passed already and there are days that I feel really down but I pull myself back up and tell myself...I can do this and I will pass. I put sticky notes such as: "You are an RN", "I will pass", "I can do this" everytime I do questions. A friend/mentor told me, "Remember you are a nurse, all you want is to be an RN"... and I keep telling myself that everyday! Wish me luck you guys and please pray for me. I love this site and I am so happy I found it... :)
  15. is it just me or I feel a little better about taking it the 2nd time? Probably because I already know what to expect on D-Day! hahaha... LOL... Like I said before, I took Kaplan course and I think that kaplan's questions were so much like the NCLEX... Saunders i think would be good for content. I plan to just brush on my content part using Saunders, but i will still try to follow the study plan that katie created for us! On the other hand, how is everyone's day doing so far? I need optimism and positive thoughts so...here it goes: Some of us have emerged from the most painful circumstances with strong insights about who we are and what we want. Our mistakes? Necessary. Our frustrations, failures, and sometimes stumbling attempts at growth and progress? Necessary too. Each step of the way, we learned. We went through exactly the experiences we need to, to become who we are today. Each step of the way, we progressed. Is our past a mistake? No. The only mistake we can make is mistaking that for the truth. and ... Everything happens for a reason. Nothing happens by chance or by means of good or bad luck. Illness, injury, love, lost moments of true greatness and sheer stupidity all occur to test the limits of your soul. Without these small tests, if they be events, illnesses or relationships, life would be like a smoothly paved, straight, flat road to nowhere. Something to think about for today :)
