NCLEX on Monday, Feb 21

Literally freaking out right now, I am taking the NCLEX-RN on monday!

I have done the Kaplan review. I did 100% of the Qbank questions--average was a 60%. Did all 7 question trainers and listened to all the content videos. I feel like I have studied as much as I can and I dont want to over study. I also have been told by a couple of people that Kaplan questions were harder than NCLEX and these people passed. Is this true? Is Kaplan harder than NCLEX?

Basically just looking for words of encouragment right now!

:uhoh3:

I had a friend who says that Kaplan is indeed harder than NCLEX. Goodluck to you, it seems like your doing great on question trainers.

I will take nclex on tuesday and my average is 55-65% only. Your score is better than mine, I think you are ready for NCLEX! :D

I also take NCLEX on Tuesday!!! I am really tired of studying and don't want to overstudy. I have been getting 64-70 on Kaplan Q bank questions. I keep telling myself to stay positive. WE CAN DO THIS!!!

Good for you. Goodluck to the both of us Candaycee. We can do this! We can conquer NCLEX. How are you feeling now? What's your study plan now that's nclex is on Tuesday?

I am answering questionnaires now. :)

YOU ARE READY!! i graduated in December 2010, too. I watched the content video in the last two weeks of December, attended the Kaplan live class at the beginning of Jan in the morning, read the content book in the afternoon, finished all the Qtrainers (55%- 61%), and all the QBanks (55%-75%). And I took the NCLEX within two weeks after the Kaplan class. One week before the NCLEX, i freaked out. I kept thinking I didnt know enough content. I started doing Saunder's CD, about 150 questions a day. I got about 70-80% depended on the contents. So, I guessed I knew more than I thought I did. That reduced my anxiety. Three days before the exam, I studied the medications again. One day before the exam, I was supposed to hide all my books and relax. However, I just studied whatever I think I am weak at for half day. The rest of the day, I cooked, watched movie, took a bath, I even took an hour and half walk in the evening and talked to friends over the phone as I walked. I didnt go to bed early. I just went to bed at my normal bed time, around 1230 or so. Got up at 0600, had breakfast, and arrived the testing center at 0730. i read some bible before i walked into the testing unit. just read whatever, read it out loud.. it helped to reduce my anxiety.

before i stated clicking the computer, i prayed. i felt like i had never been that calm before. i kept telling myself. no matter what, i had studied, and i would pick the BEST answer. once the exam started, i felt like i was just doing the Qbanks. About two hours later, my computer stopped at 75. My heart stopped, too.

Once I got home, try the PVT trick, got a good pop up. what a relief!!

Two weeks later, I found my name on the BRN website.

Yes.. YOU ARE READY.. just remember to BREATH, stay calm, focus on one question at a time, and choose the BEST answer.

hope it helps

What you are experiencing right now is 100% normal.

With a score of 60% you are ready for the test.

I thought the Kaplan questions were a lot harder than the questions on the NCLEX. The NCLEX questions are a lot more straightforward and you don't have to spend a lot of time figuring out the topic of the question.

You are going to be fine on Monday.

Spend tomorrow relaxing and distracting. :)

thank you so much all of you!!

your words have really helped me relax already and i got goosebumps when i read them. i have worked soooo hard for this and i am not going to let nclex get me down.

good luck candaycee423. you can do this! :)

i will let you all know how it goes.

goodluck to your test everyone...God be with you all..

It was a joy to read these post. I also take my exam on Monday and I've taken kaplan, done RN exam cram, and La Charity. I haven't completed every single thing on each one but I've definitely put a lot of effort into what I've done. I'm still very nervous but these post have given me a new found confidence and I know we'll all do well. Thanks everyone:heartbeat
